Appearance, screens and design of tablets.

As soon as the announcement of this tablet appeared in the media, I immediately received several letters from our readers asking me to review it. The model really came out very balanced in terms of price-performance ratio, so it’s definitely worth talking about.

Appearance, materials, control elements, assembly

Partially appearance Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L is not enough stars in the sky, it is a typical ten-inch Android tablet with slightly rounded corners and a black frame around the display.

On the front side there is a peephole of the front 5 MP camera and a light indicator (there is no light sensor).

On the left there is a volume rocker and a power button, as well as a microUSB port. At the top end there is a 3.5 mm headphone jack, at the bottom there is a speaking microphone hole for Skype and other programs.

Back cover made of matte smooth plastic with soft-touch coating. Thanks to it, the tablet is comfortable to hold in your hands, but it is important to remember that such material collects fingerprints very well. By the way, there is a flap at the back, under which slots for a memory card and a microSIM card are hidden.

You can also see the stereo speakers and the main camera peephole. This model has support for Dolby Atmos technology, and if we talk about the sound, it is really very good here, both in terms of volume and sound quality; the tablet will perfectly replace an inexpensive wireless speaker.

Two versions of the tablet will be available for sale: white and dark blue; we tested the latter.

Regarding the assembly, I noticed one thing about my sample: apparently, there is a small empty space between the lid and the insides, so if you press hard on it, you will feel it press down slightly. This cannot be called a serious drawback, especially since in normal use scenarios you are unlikely to notice it.

Dimensions

In addition to the increase in resolution and productivity of tablets, their dimensions are also decreasing every year, this is especially noticeable in terms of weight. A couple of years ago, a figure of 600-700 grams was considered the norm, but already in 2014-2015 it shifted to 450-500 grams, and Lenovo with its 509 grams looks great compared to its competitors.

It is convenient to hold the tablet for a long time with either one or two hands. As for the thickness, it is, of course, not at the level of the leaders, but this model did not seem thick to me either.

Screen

One of the key advantages of this tablet is its excellent quality display. It is important to note that few well-known manufacturers can offer you a ten-inch tablet with FHD resolution and an IPS matrix in the segment under 20,000 rubles.

And the screen in the Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L is really good: viewing angles close to maximum, a wide range of brightness and good behavior in the sun. At the same time, thanks to the FHD resolution, it is very comfortable to read from the tablet; even small text looks very clear.

There is also an oleophobic coating, although not as good as, for example, in the same Apple iPad Air or Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5. The finger glides well across the display, but fingerprints are not wiped off as quickly as with the mentioned models.

operating system

The tablet works under Android control 4.4.4 and branded shell Vibe UI from Lenovo. There are rumors online that the model will be updated to Android 5.0, but keep in mind that rumors are not always confirmed. Eldar Murtazin has already talked about the features of Vibe UI in a separate article; those interested can familiarize themselves with it at the link below:

Performance

In everyday use there are no complaints about the tablet. Tables scroll through quickly, the browser works without lag, and applications do not stutter.

But the situation with games is not so good. Although Asphalt 8 runs at maximum settings, drops in FPS are visible to the naked eye. This is worth considering if you plan to use the tablet for the most productive toys.

Another plus of the tablet is the location of the chipset; even in productive games you will hardly feel the heat, since only the upper half of the back cover heats up.

Autonomous operation

In our synthetic tests, the tablet shows simply excellent operating time, this applies to both watching videos and reading. With everyday use, you can safely count on 4-5 days of work, depending on the intensity of use of the tablet.

Camera

The tablet has a main 8 MP camera and a front 5 MP camera. Despite the high resolution, pictures from the main camera are of very average quality, you can see this for yourself in the examples below. The device records video in FHD resolution. Regarding front camera, then it is typical for such devices; in Skype, for example, there is not much difference with 2 MP cameras.

Wireless interfaces

The presence of dual-band Wi-Fi has already become a common attribute of the mid-range tablet segment, as well as LTE support. But the relatively fast (for the MediaTek chipset) start of GPS was pleasantly pleasing, as was the presence of USB-OTG. By the way, the device does not support voice calls, and this is clearly an artificial limitation.

Accessories

I saw that you can buy a branded accessory for the tablet for 2,200 rubles. Keep in mind that the option without a keyboard costs this money; if you want a case with the same keyboard, you will have to pay about 5,000 rubles, which does not look like such an interesting offer.

Conclusion

Retail version Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 with LTE and 16 GB internal memory sold for 18,000 rubles. For this money you get a fast tablet with excellent display, very good stereo speakers, relatively light weight and LTE support. The only downside I can highlight is the lack of voice calls and stuttering in Asphalt 8.

On at the moment This model has no direct competitors. None of major brands will not offer you a ten-inch tablet with FHD resolution and LTE support; there are only a few older models (the same Asus MeMO Pad 10 FHD), which have almost disappeared from the shelves of large retail chains. You can remember the Chinese, but it’s definitely not worth comparing them with the large Lenovo. And modern flagships are like the same Samsung Galaxy Although the Tab S 10.5 outperforms this model, it also costs significantly more.

In the end, Lenovo succeeded good tablet with an excellent price-performance ratio without any significant drawbacks. If you are looking for a ten-inch Android tablet in the segment under 20,000 rubles, then I can confidently recommend this model.

Screen quality and price are two of the most important features of a tablet. There is no shortage of expensive, high-end tablets on the market with beautiful displays, but those with similar, impressive screens are virtually unaffordable. That's why the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L is a special case, because it offers a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution in an uncharacteristic price range.

And while it will set you back less than half the price of a high-end tablet, the Lenovo Tab 2 A10 offers more than half the quality. Priced from 18,000 rubles, the 10-inch tablet offers average performance in most aspects - like most other cheap tablets - except for one important feature: screen quality. This is one of the most affordable tablets with a Full HD panel, and in addition to the attractive picture, the Lenovo tablet also offers powerful Dolby-enhanced speakers for an extra sound experience.

On the other hand, the rest of the tablet is unremarkable. Its casual design is a bit thick, and the significant weight causes discomfort after prolonged use. Performance also does not exceed average and is only suitable for average tasks, such as checking email and web surfing, the speed drops noticeably when loading applications and playing games with rich graphics.

But don't get us wrong, the new Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L is an attractive tablet. It's not cheap in the pejorative sense. The tablet actually costs less than its strongest competitors. With a sharp display and amazing speakers, you'll be hard-pressed to find any other that offers the same thing for less money. If you're not willing to pay a lot for a video tablet, then the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L should meet your needs. Lenovo Review Tab 2 A10-70L more...

DesignLenovo Tab 2 A10-70

If you haven't used skinny tablets like or before, you probably won't immediately notice the waist and weight of the Lenovo Tab 2 A10. This is by no means a brick; it's just that the tablet avoids the term "slim". For inexpensive tablet this is common.

Very dark blue plastic back panel has a smooth texture with a matte finish. Under certain lighting, a subtle metallic sheen appears on it. On the top of the back, you'll find the speakers, which span the entire width of the tablet, except for the camera in the center, which separates the two.

The edges of the Lenovo tablet are flat, a special edge is created to distinguish the back panel from the front. With no sharp edges or incredibly protruding edges, your fingers can rest comfortably on the sides of the tablet. From top to bottom, the left edge of the Lenovo tablet is covered by the power button, volume button, Micro USB port, and MicroSD slot. All alone, in the center of the tablet's top edge, you'll find a headphone jack.

The Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L we reviewed offers significant comfort. The rounded edges are a bit harsh, but after a while they fit comfortably into the palm. The tablet's weight of 499 grams becomes quite obvious during long hand-held sessions. When working with the tablet for long periods of time, I found myself constantly changing my grip. There is nothing strange about this mobile devices this size, but, in comparison with the designs of other tablets, including the much more streamlined one, Lenovo is inferior. When you hold a tablet in your hands for hours at a time, whether you're watching a movie or chatting on social media, discomfort becomes an annoying aspect of an otherwise enjoyable tablet to use.

Lenovo Tab 2 A10 Review: The buttons dutifully protrude from the left edge of the tablet.

Features of Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L

Not only do they ignore conventional beauty standards, they also skimp on features software. The Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L runs on an almost vanilla version, unlike previous models, it has an application tray that collects all your applications in one place.

Lenovo also ships some of its own apps, including Browser, Contacts, and Calendar. Lenovo apps also include SyncIT and ShareIT apps. SyncIT allows you to synchronize your contacts and also provides backup or SD card recovery, while ShareIT allows you to share with other tablets, phones and PCs. Apps aren't essential solutions, but if you're a beginner, they'll complement the functionality of your new tablet due to their ease of use.

Lenovo Tab 2 A10 Review: The App Tray becomes a convenient, centralized place for all your apps.

CharacteristicsLenovoTab 2A10-70L

Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L tablet runs on Mediatek MT8165 2GB quad-core processor RAM, 16 GB of internal memory with a MicroSD slot that supports cards up to 64 GB. Other features include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and an accelerometer.

Lenovo Tab 2 A10 Review: Light on the wallet, but not on the hands.

Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L performance

The Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L tablet is great for everyday use. you could write emails, check social media, watch streaming video, everything is just fine. It will provide smooth, if not the fastest, performance, and the tablet will also slow down somewhat as application load gradually builds up, although this happens with most tablets.

Mobile games like Angry Birds and Candy Crush played without a hitch. Most games take some time to load before the load levels off. If there are no applications open in background, review Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L works smoothly, although a little slower. Its performance is on par with the strongest competitors. Compared to the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, it performed much better in gaming tests, although slightly worse than the Kindle Fire HD 10.

In games where I needed two thumbs on the screen, the Lenovo tablet felt unwieldy and difficult to navigate. This won't be a problem in one-handed games like Angry Birds. In fact, a large screen can be quite useful. Overall, I wasn't disappointed with its gaming performance, but its size and significant weight may make your experience less enjoyable than I'd like.

The Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L tablet offers a screen resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. It's not the sharpest resolution for a tablet, but it's a pretty solid resolution for a tablet in this price range. HD video looks sharp and detailed with very clear images. Colors on the screen look accurate and rich enough for live images, but not oversaturated like on the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7. Compared to the Kidle HD 10, the Amazon tablet's screen is dull and lacks color and sharpness. The Lenovo tablet's 10-inch screen also offers truly deep blacks, unlike its competitors, but both fall short when it comes to brightness.

Tablets have traditionally neglected speakers, resulting in them encouraging the alternative use of headphones, but Lenovo's tablets have defied the trend. According to the manufacturer, the new Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L carries " sound panels" on the rear panel. The two speakers, separated by the main camera, come with Dolby branding, but since they're located on the back of the tablet, the sound is directed away from your ears rather than towards them.

Lenovo Tab 2 A10 Review: The screen is sharper and colors more accurate than comparable tablets.

Audio sounds better when you use the pre-installed Dolby app. You can change the audio optimization settings for movies, music, or games. When watching movies and games, the sound becomes more intelligible and, thanks to Dolby Atmos technology - which allows sound to dynamically spread in space - sound effects become clean, exciting and crispy. This technology also helps the music, highlighting the vocals beautifully, but the bass is still lacking to give the melody an exciting charm.

Unlike its smaller counterpart, the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L's pair of cameras are quite good for a tablet. The 8-megapixel rear camera captures clear photos with accurate colors. It is capable of sharply focusing on close-range objects and distant landscapes. To the delight of selfie enthusiasts, the front-facing 5-megapixel camera also promises focus and ensures accurate colors, although colors can get a little washed out in bright rooms.

Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L review: The midnight blue back panel looks subtle and classy.

The review of the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L tablet was also not without tests; we launched a looped HD video (720p) at medium brightness in Airplane Mode, the tablet lasted 13 hours. For any tablet, especially a tablet with such big screen, this is an impressively long time.

Final word

Budget tablets that sacrifice good performance and snazzy design for a low price tend to be a tough sell. However, Lenovo Tab 2 A10 is one of the exceptions, thanks to its Full HD panel.

Amazon Kindle Fire HD 10 and Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 are leading Lenovo's competitors Tab 2 A10-70L. The Kindle Fire HD 10 is similar to the Lenovo tablet, a great tablet for consuming media content, but for a different reason. If you're an Amazon Prime member, the 10-inch Kindle HD offers easy access to an excellent media library, chock full of TV shows and movies available to stream or download. Its speaker audio systems are superior to Lenovo's, but while its screen is brighter, its resolution isn't nearly as high.

Hi all!

When our Acer laptop I started to slowly but surely drop the loose ends, and my husband and I began to seriously think about buying a tablet. And combining business with pleasure, we decided to give ourselves, our loved ones, this device for the New Year 2016.

I was initially set on something completely budget and modest, so as not to suffer family budget, but my husband had a different opinion. He generally adheres to the view that you need to buy high-quality equipment, so that it will serve for more than one year and be “stuffed” with good hardware.

WHY LENOVO TAB 2 A10-70L

Long before the joyless old age approached our laptop, my husband said more than once that in the future, when we decide to buy a tablet, we will take LENOVO. Like, this one trademark Now the quality is good and the price is reasonable.

Before purchasing, by the way, the spouse usually spends a lot of time reading reviews about equipment and watching a large number of video reviews of this or that product. This is how he approached the choice of a washing vacuum cleaner and a smartphone as a gift for me. I “went” the same way when choosing a tablet.

Based on the above, we can conclude that of all those available on the market in its price category Tablets my husband chose the most worthy one.

DESCRIPTION

Here I will simply copy the description of this model from the official website (formatted as a quote), leave my comments and give a personal assessment of the manufacturer’s words.

Clear and bright image

The ten-inch widescreen Full HD IPS display of the TAB 2 A10 70 tablet (1920 x 1200) differs from other displays in its increased viewing area and the highest quality video playback.

This is true. The image is very bright and clear. Color rendition is bomb. And the screen is big. Initially, it was precisely because of the presence of a ten-inch display that we preferred this model. We wanted to be able to watch videos and play games without a magnifying glass.

Immersive Audio

Multi-speaker soundbar with Dolby Atmos® Cinematic Moving Audio delivers stunning, surround sound, immersing you in the thick of things. If we add a Full HD display here, then tablet TAB 2 The A10 70 becomes the ideal device for gaming and multimedia entertainment.

Well, sort of. The sound coming from the speakers is quite convincing. The tablet screams well, there seems to be an effect of presence ☺.

Powerful processor

The TAB 2 A10 70 tablet is different highest performance thanks to the powerful 64-bit quad-core processor.

It's difficult for me to say anything about this. The tablet is quite fast, but stutters were also noticed with it 😔.

Long battery life

The 7000 mAh battery guarantees up to 10 hours of continuous use. You can work on your tablet all day long without recharging.

It is what it is! Thanks to the increased battery capacity, we can charge the tablet once every two (and sometimes three) days. I think that with active continuous operation the battery charge will really last for 9-10 hours.

Slim and compact design

Tablet TAB 2 A10 70 - incredible compact device thickness less than 9 mm. Available in two color options (Pearl White and Midnight Blue), choose the model that perfectly matches your style.

We chose a white tablet; it looks mega-stylish. It’s a pity that all this pearly beauty has to be hidden behind a case, but what can you do, it’s a vital necessity.

PHOTOS FROM TABLET

I took photos from my tablet of everything that was bad/good at home 😁.

VIDEO FROM TABLET

In general, I didn’t plan to make videos using a tablet. But Special For You filmed a short video from the window of its apartment on the 5th floor (the local boys were having a blast on the swing). Take a look if you're interested.

The video quality from the tablet's camera is not so great, especially when zooming in. Perhaps the distance and cloudy weather are to blame, but I still think that the tablet is simply not intended for these purposes.

DISADVANTAGES OF THE TABLET, IDENTIFIED DURING TWO MONTHS OF OPERATION

Disadvantage 1. During busy work, you can feel significant heating of the case in the upper left corner.

Flaw 2. Wide screen bezel (especially at the top). She doesn’t bother me in any way, but for some reason my husband is unhappy with her.

Flaw 3. Rare system freezes. I noticed several times that the tablet does not respond to touches immediately, but after a few seconds. It’s difficult for me to say what exactly this is due to: the operation of the tablet itself or problems with the Internet. Perhaps the reason really is an unstable Internet, since freezes occurred while being online (for example, when moving from one window to another, scrolling a page up and down, etc.). By the way, my husband did not notice such lags.

Shortcoming 4. No fast charging. It's inconvenient.

Drawback 5. Relatively slow loading when turned on.

Shortcoming 6. Weak rear camera (only 8 megapixels). We rarely use a tablet for photography, so this is not a decisive moment for us.

Now I’ve written all this and I’m sitting there freaking out, thinking, is it really that bad? In fact, the listed disadvantages do not bother us at all. If I weren’t so harmfully nasty, I wouldn’t find fault with these moments. I just considered it my duty to tell you about them.

LET US SUMMARY

Despite the device’s minor shortcomings, I dare to recommend it after two months of use. We are completely satisfied with this tablet because it meets our main requirements:

  1. Possibility of watching movies in high quality with a bright and clear picture.
  2. Convenient Internet surfing.
  3. Support for average quality games.
  4. Widescreen display.
  5. Surround sound.
  6. Capacious battery.
  7. 3G/4G support.
  8. Excellent price/quality ratio.
  9. Stylish appearance.
  10. Good build quality (our tablet does not creak or play).

Before publishing the review, I asked my husband if he regretted purchasing this model after some time from the moment he started using it. He firmly answered: “No! For the money, this tablet is by far the best!” Well, what can I say, I’m used to trusting my husband’s opinion!

By the way, I can recommend a good faux leather case for this tablet for a modest price. We have been using it for over six months now and are very pleased.

I hope the review was useful to you. Thank you all for the 👍!
