About an interesting glitch in GTA Online, thanks to which players can get into the snowy North Yankton, which was previously only available in the single-player mode of GTA 5.
To get to North Yankton in GTA Online you need:
1. Ask a friend to create a private game and send you an invitation, but do not accept it.
2. Enter the single-player game (you must first complete at least the Prologue), press pause, and select “Replay Mission” → “Prologue” from the menu.
3. Complete the mission until you exit the bank, move away from the building, press pause and accept the invitation sent by a friend earlier. If everything is done correctly, a black screen will appear, followed by a loading screen.
4. Get into the helicopter and fly over the docks, where you meet Simon. You will see a large island floating in the air. This is North Yankton.
5. Land in the snow, ask a friend to leave the game, then send him an invitation and ask him to complete steps one through four.
After this, you and your friend will be able to play in North Yankton in GTA Online.

Those people who play and are familiar with GTA game, the question arose: Why is it always summer and always sunny in the game? Only in the fourth part there is a little rain, but even then everything around it is quite light and bright.
Don't be too quick to get upset - there is a state in the GTA called North Yankton. And this fictional territory has an existing prototype called North Dakota. Any player can go to the inhospitable city of Ludendorff and admire the atmosphere, as well as the beautifully crafted snow, which really sticks to cars, affects their speed, and even wheel marks remain on the snow. But only the prologue mission takes place in this area, and it’s not possible to get there during the game itself.
But there is good news: after a little time, gamers discovered an interesting bug with which they can get to the snowy city.
How to do this with version 1.07?
1.To do this you need to receive an invitation for online games from a friend. Leave this invitation, let it hang, and select the initial mission from the single-player list.
2. You need to play until the moment when the garage door opens and there are cops standing there - you need to turn left and run to the car with the sign “Bobcat”.
3.After this, you need to pause the game and accept the invitation that was sent to you.
4. The only thing left to do is to find a helicopter in a multiplayer game format and fly it to the southeast of the map (towards the lower right corner), there you will see mountain ranges, among these ranges North Yankton is located.
But only you can ride on the snowy slopes; the person who invited you to the game will not see this city, and if he tries to go to the ground with you, he will simply fall down. To play with a friend, it is necessary for him to leave the game, and then, according to the above instructions, do the same thing, only having received an invitation from you.
If you have game version 1.08 installed, then you need to:
1.Start a mission in the game called “Closing the hatchet.”
2.Get to the point where the main character ends up in North Yankton.
3. Become invited to an inaccessible mission by another user.
4.Get into the helicopter and fly again to the lower right corner of the map
5.In order to explore the territory with a friend, you just need to invite him. Wait until he leaves the game and starts completing this mission, and then send him an invitation.
Additional information:
The map you are playing on is very large, and be careful, if there is no road on the map or it is hard to see, you should not drive along it. This means that there is no hard surface on it and you will simply fall down.
Did you know that you can get to that very North Yankton in the story mode of GTA 5?. Moreover, you can easily get there by car (or whatever you prefer).
Most fans probably know that North Yankton is an isolated place from the general game. The exceptions are the very first bank robbery mission and the mission called Burying the Hatchet, in which Michael confronts Trevor in the cemetery.
However, you can remove the restrictions set by Rockstar and visit remote locations where you are allowed to be only for the plot and nothing else. One of these places is North Yankton.
In general, you can get to North Yankton in two ways: use a certain bug in the game or use a special modification that will give you access to a forbidden place.
How to get to North Yankton in GTA 5 using a bug
First, let's look at the method with the bug. The example will be given for the PS4 version (which, for sure, can be applied to other platforms). In order to get to North Yanktok using the bug, you will have to do a list of certain steps in GTA Online and GTA 5. It is also worth mentioning that you must completely complete the story mode, otherwise nothing will work. The funny thing is that Rockstar sort of patched this bug, but now it's available again. Who knows, maybe they'll plug the hole again soon. Here are the actual steps required:
- First of all, log into GTA Online in an invite-only session.
- Then head to the Ammu-nation store and go to Tyr (yes, all this is necessary to access North Yankton).
- In the Shooting Range, simply complete one of the shooting tests. It will be best if you take a minigun. It doesn't matter if you pass or fail the test, just finish it.
- Then, after the end of the test, you will have to leave Tyr and see a request in which you will be asked: “Do you want to leave Tyr?” Confirm your exit.
- Next, you will need to appear right in front of the Ammu-nation store. After that, go to story mode and select Michael.
- You will then need to play the Bury the Hatchet mission again. Skip all the cutscenes, go outside and call yourself a taxi using your mobile phone.
- Drive towards the airport to the yellow marker. As soon as you enter the yellow marker, press the "X" button on the gamepad as hard as you can to interrupt the cutscene.
- As soon as you see a black screen, immediately press the PlayStation button. Then select your Profile->Recent Activity. You'll have to see what's in Grand Theft Auto V you are in Tyre.
- In the same menu you need to click “Start mini-game”. After clicking, a screen should appear asking you to exit GTA 5. Confirm the request by pressing “X” (Yes) and you will begin to transition to GTA Online.
- In the future, the game will try to enter multiplayer mode, but it will not work and will throw you into single player mode.
- You will need to show up at the airport runways. Take any air transport that you like (preferably a helicopter) and take off.
That's all. As soon as you take off, somewhere to the east of the airport you will see the snow-covered mountains of North Yankton, and behind them will be the map itself.
How all these actions bring Yankton to the general GTA 5 map is unclear. But, nevertheless, with this eccentric method you can get to her.
How to get to North Yankton in GTA 5 using modification
Now let's look at the already mentioned modification, which is called “North Yankton DLC 3.2”. You can download this modification from this link.
It's also worth noting that you will need to download two more modifications: Travel to North Yankton by NewTheft and Railroad Engineer by J10.
After installing these modifications, a simply huge bridge (something like the Golden Gate) should appear on the map, which will lead you to North Yankton.
WINTER IN GTA V ("All-in-One" OIV Packages) v1.0

This is a mod that turns GTA V into a winter wonderland. This is not just another “snow” mod! This mod brings everything together. You can choose the functions you need yourself. Installation:
There are 3 OIV packages and an "uninstall" file for each if you want to install the package and restore your files. Just install what you want. If you want to constantly see snow in the game, install the two main "WINTER_INSTALLATION" packs using the OpenIV pack installer (both must be installed together). If you want "Realistic" winter weather cycles, add and set "REALISTIC_WINTER_WEATHER_CYCLE". Very simple. If you want to remove the OIV pack, just use two "UNINSTALL "OIV" (both must be installed together to restore all your files to normal).

Next I want to add snow on the cars, people's heads and clothes.
I want to change the clothes on all the peds to “winter” ones, because it looks very awkward.. people walking in the snow in shorts and T-shirts.. but all this is very difficult to do. This can be achieved, but it will require a lot of time and experimentation with files. I will do some tests and experiments and work on it in my free time, but I don't promise anything.
