The biggest iPhone. The main thing from the Apple presentation

Apple has sent out invitations to an event on September 12, where it is expected to unveil new additions to its iPhone lineup.

In typical mysterious Apple style provided scant clues in the invitation that the presentation would take place at the Steve Jobs Theater on its Space Shuttle campus in the Silicon Valley city of Cupertino.

The invitations included the words “Gather Together” under a large gold circle.

Speculation includes talk of Apple unveiling three new iPhone models, adding some of the features from the premium iPhone X, which debuted last year with a thousand-dollar price tag.

The only thing left to announce is the date of the iPhone announcement itself. Apple sent out invitations to its fall iPhone events at the end of August. But given that it's still a week or two away, we'll still have to wait a little while before we find out when Apple will unveil its new line 2018.

However, we will all take a risk and try to predict the date ourselves. Based on previous event dates, the consensus is that Apple likely has something planned during the first two weeks of September, either Tuesday or Wednesday. Almost every iPhone announcement over the past decade has met these criteria.

Apple historically holds September events to showcase new iPhone models, and the company is expected to stay true to that pattern this year. What will the company surprise us with in 2018?

iPhone XS

There are rumors that the successor to the Apple iPhone X will be called the iPhone XS. There are no surprises, although apparently Apple wasn't entirely convinced by the name, because XS could either mean another smaller version of the outgoing model, or an excess in numbers.

We've sorted out the names, now let's talk about the varieties. There will be three versions of this phone. Two high-end models with OLED screens, one of which will be the Plus model, and one cheaper model with an LCD display. All three new models will have the mark required for Face ID technology, which means there is no longer a Home button.

iPad Pro

Almost a year has passed since latest update iPad Pro, and Apple is expected to update it at its September event.

Like the iPhone, new ones are expected iPad models will use Face ID rather than Touch ID, so we won't see a Home button on new iPad Pro. You can also expect the 10.5in version to be replaced by an 11in model - the screen will be larger thanks to smaller bezels, but there won't be any significant changes in size.

Apple Watch Series 4

It is expected that Apple Watch will also be updated. It looks like it will have a larger display, but thanks to smaller bezels rather than larger display sizes.

It is also expected that side button and the Digital Crown will be modified so that the watch can be more water resistant.

AirPower

It's been a year since Apple promised it would launch AirPower, a wireless charging mat that can be used with iPhones, Apple Watches and AirPods. Will the ghost rug finally launch? It looks like it. (let's face it, if this isn't the case, it will be a blow to Apple's reputation!)

iOS 12 and macOS 14

The September event will also include something Apple will confirm when latest version iOS (in this case iOS 12) and macOS (Mojave) will be made available to the public in their final form.

The operating systems are currently in beta testing, as previously announced at WWDC 2018. They will likely be available for download before the end of September.

Possible new products

Apple has a wide variety of products in its pipeline. What do we expect to see new in it in the near future? We expect to find out either at the September or at the second event in October.

AirPods

It's possible that new AirPods will launch alongside the AirPower mat - two years after they first appeared wireless headphones Apple. Although rumors point to a more significant update in 2019, with better water resistance.

MacBook Air

MacBook Air hasn't been updated since 2015, and it looks like Apple will shut down this model soon. When that happens, it looks like Apple will introduce a new 13-inch Mac laptop at the same price - around £1,000/$1,000.

Whether it's a MacBook Air or a 13-inch MacBook remains to be seen, but it looks like there will be changes to the Air.

MacBook

In any case, we expect an update to the MacBook. Perhaps Apple introduced the 13-inch MacBook to sit next to the 12in version. And if this happens, the price of entry into the range may decrease. We expect the 12-inch MacBook could start at £200 or more, bringing its price down so it starts at £1,000/$1,000.

Mac mini

The Mac mini is no longer loved at Apple, just as the MacBook Air has remained untouched since 2014. Hopefully it'll get some attention soon - rumors suggest it will - although it's possible we won't see this update until 2019.

iMac

It makes sense that Apple would unveil updates to its iMac range before the end of the year. Like MacBook Pro, they should get more cores - these are six-core, not quad-core processors. In fact, we might even see an eight-core variant!

Also, he turned twenty years old in 2018, so this best time for an update, we think so.

iPhone SE 2

Not so likely, but rumors have surfaced that the iPhone SE could see an update. This is the popular iPhone and is the smallest and cheapest mobile phone.

However, most "cheap" iPhone rumors seem to point to a cheaper version of the iPhone X, and we think it will still be quite expensive. If you're hoping for a new 4in model, you might be interested that a code has appeared indicating that new phone may come with an older iPhone 7 processor, and it could very well be an SE upgrade.

HomePod mini

Finally, it's been almost a year since the HomePod went on sale, so we're not expecting anything just yet, but there have been a few rumors that Apple will launch a cheaper, smaller HomePod.

On September 12, 2018, Apple is holding its traditional annual presentation of new products. Typically, the IT giant shows the world devices that set trends for many other manufacturers. As a rule, these are new iPhones, as well as iPads, sometimes iMacs and MacBooks.

There were no official announcements in 2018. But a few weeks before the presentation, analysts, journalists and bloggers have a lot of information about possible new products. Everything so far is based only on rumors and strange leaks, such as a screenshot with images of the iPhone 9, which supposedly “accidentally” appeared on the Apple website for some time.

What devices will be presented at the Apple presentation

iPhone XS. This is essentially an updated last year's flagship. There will likely be increased performance, improved cameras and better batteries. The screen size is expected to remain the same - it will be a 5.8-inch OLED. The likely price is from $899.

iPhone XS Max (according to another version, iPhone XS Plus). This is probably a larger - 6.5-inch - version of the same iPhone X. Rumor has it that the flagship will have three main cameras and, perhaps, support for Apple Pencil. The likely price is from $999.

iPhone XR (or iPhone 9). This is already a medium-sized (6.1-inch) version of the iPhone X. The likely price is from $699.

iPhone SE 2. Hypothetically, Apple could announce such a very budget option your smartphone. The previous generation SE was a wild success.

Apple Watch 4. Fans are expecting a larger display and advanced functionality (for example, gesture controls, multiple options for listening to music and podcasts, etc.). Recall that Apple previously introduced operating system for the device - WatchOS 5.

iPad Pro 2018. Moreover, according to some reports, two versions will be presented - 11 and 12.9 inches.

iMac and MacBook 2018. Fans are especially looking forward to the MacBook Air - Apple's relatively budget line of laptops hasn't been updated for several years.

AirPods. The new headphones will, according to some reports, have powerful noise cancellation, water protection, and wireless charging.

WHAT WAS SHOWN AT THE PRESENTATION

Well, finally two SIM cards! Apple introduced three new iPhone models and apple watch Watch with ECG

Probably the most important thing about Apple products is that both hardware and software The apple people hold it tightly in their hands. It is clear that they, too, like other smartphone companies, strive to ensure that their devices have the most modern and cool stuffing. But Steve Jobs' followers are always ready to explain how and why to use new hardware capabilities

Yesterday the company sent out invitations to journalists for its traditional autumn presentation. It will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple's new headquarters. Besides the following iPhone generation, it is usually represented new iOS and updates to other products.

Having analyzed all the leaks and rumors, we can now predict with a high degree of probability what the company will show us in less than two weeks.

New iPhones

Like last year, this year the iPhone line will be replenished with three new models, which will be made in the design of the iPhone X.

The flagship will be a smartphone with a huge 6.5-inch OLED display, which will be similar to the Plus version. The successor to last year's iPhone X with a 5.8-inch OLED display and improved specifications will be the regular version. And in addition to them, there will also be a budget iPhone version X, which will receive a 6.1-inch screen, but not OLED, but a simpler LCD.

Some insiders are talking about increasing the time battery life, improved sound quality and even an active noise reduction system, but we will only find out how true these predictions are at the presentation.

What else

iOS 12

Of course, Apple will release iOS 12, announced in June, which will be installed on all new iPhones. In addition to Memoji, improvements to Siri and FaceTime, the mobile OS will become much more powerful and stable even on older devices.

MacBook Air and Mac mini

Apple's September presentation is usually dedicated to the iPhone, but perhaps this time the company will also mention the Mac. There is information that an update is being prepared for the frankly outdated MacBook Air, which will be equipped with a 13-inch display with thin frames and Retina resolution.

The same is said about the Mac mini, which hasn't received an update in almost four years. The most affordable Apple computer will become slightly more expensive, but will have more powerful hardware and will be more aimed at professionals.

AirPower

It's likely that we'll finally learn more details about wireless charging Air Power, almost a year has passed since its presentation.
