Pocket has long been our favorite tool for saving interesting articles for later. It works crystal simply and clearly: using a special extension or bookmarklet, you save a link to the desired article, and then you can read it at any time in a clean, easy-to-read form in a special online service or mobile client. However, Pocket's capabilities are not limited to this, and we want to tell you about some of the hidden skills of this service.
How to make adding content even easier
Many apps have Pocket integration, so you can easily add articles from places like Feedly or Twitter. Here is a short list of tools for this:

Save to Pocket
To save information in Pocket, click on the extension icon located on the add-ons panel.
On a web page, after right-clicking, in context menu In the Mozilla Firefox browser, the options “Save page in Pocket” will appear or, after clicking on the link “Save link in Pocket”. IN Google browser Chrome will display the “Save to Pocket” context menu item.
Immediately after clicking, a window will open with a message stating that the page has been saved. There are two links here: “Open Pocket” (“View List” in Firefox) and “Delete Page”. The extension works in such a way that you can open a list of materials saved in Pocket only after clicking on the Pocket icon in the browser window. To directly go to the list of saved articles in Pocket, without saving current page, add the Pocket service page to your browser bookmarks.
IN Mozilla browser Firefox, after clicking on the “Show your bookmarks” button, in the context menu you will see the “Show Pocket list” item.

Articles added for delayed reading can be grouped in the form of a list or placed in a tiled interface using the corresponding button. Nearby is a button for group editing.
On the left are the sections: “My List”, “Favorites”, “Archive”, “Articles”, “Videos”, “Images”, “Tags”.
To view a saved article (video or other data), enter the appropriate section to quick access use tags and then click on the entry.
Next, the saved article will open in a form optimized for reading. All unnecessary elements of the site that interfere with comfortable reading are removed from the article. Using the “View original” link, you can go to the site from which this article was previously saved.
Click on the "Display Settings" button to edit the display of the article. Here you can increase the font size, change the font, change the background.
When saving data from the Internet, add tags, for example, “recipes”, “programs”, “tips”, etc. Using tags, you can quickly find the information you are interested in in Pocket.
All materials containing video, not just saved video clips, are automatically saved to the “Video” section.

Mozilla integrated Firefox Pocket into its Internet browser several years ago. If you use different platforms, this add-on will be especially useful. You can start using it immediately after installation.
You can recognize the Firefox Pocket button by its white arrow on a red background. The symbol is in address bar next to the star icon (Favorites). If you click on it, Firefox will prompt you to register.
There are two registration options: either you create a Firefox account, or you sign up for Mozilla with an existing one account email. Firefox Pocket icon does not appear in the address bar: how to activate it
If you can't find the Firefox Pocket icon in the address bar, there's an easy solution to this problem.
- Enter in the address bar: about:config
- Then press the Enter key.
- A window will open warning you that your warranty will be voided. It's not a big deal and you don't need to worry. Just click on the “I accept the risk!” button.
- Type "pocket" into the search field.
- Double click on “extensions.pocket.enabled”. Now you can change the value to "true". The icon should now be visible and you can use this feature.
Note. If you want to use the add-on but hide the icon, that is also possible. Right-click the Firefox-Pocket icon. After that, you can select the “Remove from Address Bar” option. If you want to return the icon, you can do so by clicking on the three dots symbol in the address bar. To do this, click on again right button mouse, but this time - select the option “Save page in Firefox-Pocket”. Then you should select "Add to address bar."
