2. Visit the MTS office with your passport and write an application to transfer the number to the MTS network. An office employee will give you a form, you fill it out and give it back. After this, you will be given an MTS SIM card with temporary number, which will be replaced with the number you are transferring after the process is completed.
Most likely, you will be given a SIM card with the “Smart Mini” tariff, which has a subscription fee of 300 rubles per month. If you ask for a different tariff, they will either tell you that there are no SIM cards, or they will persuade you not to change the tariff for now. At this stage, it is very important not to listen to the office employee (he receives bonuses for the Smart Mini tariff sold) and demand that the SIM card be transferred to the " Super MTS", which has no subscription fee. If an office employee refuses, you can change the tariff yourself in paragraph 3 of these instructions. But if the tariff has not been changed, do not top up your account under any circumstances! Otherwise, you will lose 300 rubles, since the first subscription fee will be charged at the "Smart Mini" tariff.

4. Now all you have to do is wait. After some time, you will receive an SMS from MTS, which will inform you of the exact date and time the number will be transferred to the MTS network. If the first step of the instructions is not completed, then there is a small chance that your current operator will cancel porting the number at this stage. However, this happens extremely rarely.
5. At the specified date and time, your number will begin to work on the MTS SIM card, now you can activate the “Smart for yours” tariff. Make sure once again that you do not have paid services connected, then top up your balance with more than 200 rubles (preferably 300-400, so that there is a reserve).
6. Fill out the form at the address, in the field "Option to switch to tariff:" indicate " Smart for your own - free"(as of October 27, 2017, the free transfer is no longer available; see the current offers on the order page). If you don’t want to wait 10 working days, you can choose accelerated connection options for 200 or 790 rubles. After some time, the operator will contact you, clarify the details and initiate the procedure for connecting to the “Smart for Our Own” tariff. Depending on the chosen method, the transition to “Smart for your own” takes 1-10 business days, during all this time the balance of your number must be strictly more than 200 rubles. Tariff “Smart for your own” from MTS is prepaid, in which for 200 rubles owners receive the following services:

Among the conditions are:
- tariff “Smart for your own” is a subscription fee – the monthly payment amount is 200 rubles;
- volume of minutes for all numbers within the home region – 600 minutes;
- SMS package – 600 within your region;
- incoming calls are free when you are in the connection region.
The conditions change slightly after the packages are exhausted, namely:
- After all minutes have been spoken, the cost of calls is paid at 2 rubles per minute. However, depending on the region, the price differs; the indicated tariff is for Moscow.
- Outgoing calls to subscriber numbers outside the “home” are 3 rubles per minute, and it does not matter which operator is selected.
- For each sent text message you need to pay 50 kopecks for the connection region and 3.8 rubles when sending outside it.
Important! The package of minutes will be used both for calls to MTS numbers and to other networks. After 600 minutes are used up, communication on the network remains free, but calls to subscribers of other networks are charged.
A huge advantage is that it works under the specified conditions in any region of the country, that is, internal roaming does not function in it. You can communicate and use up packages both at home and while traveling around the country.

Activation of “Smart for Friends” is possible only for those who have a connection code. It, in turn, is issued to MTS employees. The number of activation codes per person is 10. After acquiring the activation code, you do not need to change your number, but the following transfer options are possible:
- Dial the command in this form: *362*phone number*0000#. Instead of zeros, enter the tariff activation code.
- Call the number 3 6 2 0 and changing it in call mode. In this case, you also need to have a code and enter it at the right time using the phone keypad.
The transition is not available in the office or Personal Account.
Important! To switch to “Smart for Your Own” you must have at least 200 rubles in your account at the time of submitting the application. It will be changed within 24 hours; an SMS will notify you of a successful change in the terms of service.
Other options for finding out if the terms of service have changed:
- Visit Personal account, it will indicate what tariff your number is currently served on.
- Sending a request ✶ 1 1 1 ✶ 5 9 # . Information about the conditions will be sent via SMS.
Shutdown
If the connection is available only to selected people, then you can disconnect using standard methods. But it's worth remembering that reuse activation code is not possible.
