Command to disable autoloading. Installing special programs

In today's article we will talk about disabling autorun programs when loading operating system windows, without installing special software. We will use a service command to disable autoloading of programs we need "msconfig"

Why is it necessary to remove some programs from startup?

It often happens that when installing software downloaded from the Internet or installed from a digital media, the program itself registers itself in autorun and the next time you start the computer it is loaded along with the operating system.

Over time, sooner or later, you will notice that your personal computer It will take a very long time to load the operating system.

And all this happens due to the fact that each program that is in startup consumes the computer’s hardware resources - mainly, as a rule, RAM.

How to remove unnecessary programs from startup?

We recently looked at a way to disable programs from startup using the free ccleaner software – view link.

In this article we will look at how to disable autorun using a service command msconfig.exe

So let's get started.

Click on the button "Start" in OS Windows7 in the window " Find programs and files" enter the command msconfig.exe then press enter. In OS Windows XP, enter execute in the window. You can also call the “run” utility program using a hotkey combination Win+R(+ means pressing these keys simultaneously)

In the window that appears, go to the tab. In this menu, you can see with your own eyes which programs are launched when you start your computer.

As you can see, there are checkboxes next to the programs that start when you turn on the computer; it is their presence that tells us about those programs that start automatically when the OS boots. If you do not want the program to automatically load when you turn on the computer, you must uncheck the box next to the unwanted program.

Which programs should I choose to disable?

First of all, disable those programs that you do not use or that you do not need at all. For example, a common case is for programs like "torrent client" If you download something very rarely and do not want to constantly distribute this or that file, then why do you need to constantly download this program?

Sometimes there are funny cases when a user constantly downloads something through a “torrent client” and leaves all the downloaded files on the distribution (unknowingly), and then complains about bad job Internet, about the impossibility of talking on Skype, etc. Of course, it is in in this example the user made the mistake of not deleting the downloaded files from the distribution, but if the program had not been constantly running, then there would have been no such problem.

Finally, my dear friend, I give you one more piece of advice! Removing a program from startup does not remove it. It still remains installed (installed) and operational. So, if you do not use the program, it is advisable to uninstall it (remove it completely). At the same time, you will free up space on your hard drive and give your computer the opportunity to breathe easier :))

In the operating room Windows system It is very easy to implement automatic launch of programs, for example, so that immediately after turning on the computer, a virus scan occurs. At the same time, if something starts automatically in Windows, getting rid of it is not so easy.

Automatic launch of programs implies the presence of a special folder C:\Windows\Main Menu\Programs\Startup. I have this folder empty because there is no need for it today.

But, if you place a shortcut for a program in it (precisely a shortcut!), it will launch automatically along with Windows. If there are several program shortcuts in this folder, they will be launched in the order in which they were placed (we bet you didn’t know this fact :)).

To get rid of automatic start program, remove its shortcut from the \Startup folder. True, this does not always help. The fact is that Windows provides several ways to automatically start, and very often during installation experiments various programs we are faced with the fact that they reconfigure the operating system in such a way that it becomes difficult to get rid of them.

I will not give a complete technology for getting rid of “obsessive programs”, since this requires editing the Windows Registry and, accordingly, special literature and professional skills (to be honest, I will add it in the next 24 hours). But one place where you can take some limited measures, I will now tell you.

Run the program - System Configuration (System Information), to do this: click Start > Execute or click the button on Windows keyboard+ R. The following window will open:

Then in this window we type the command - msconfig, which will launch the system configuration. In the window of this program, on the Startup tab, you will see a list of programs that start automatically. For me, at the time of writing, it looks like this:

You can often see good things here hidden programs, periodically reminding us that it would not hurt to register one or another program from among those installed on the computer. You can turn off such reminders here ;).

Important. After you remove several (or all, you never know) unnecessary checkboxes, especially pay attention to programs that do not have a manufacturer specified, click Apply and Ok. Afterwards, restart the computer, paying attention to the speed of Windows startup and the system entering full operating mode.

If the download speed has changed in better side, then most likely you have disabled “unnecessary” programs in Startup that were interfering with quick start systems. If there are no improvements, then run the system configuration again, as described above, and pay attention to whether there are any programs in Startup that you unchecked. If the check mark appears again, then this is exactly the case when you need to delete certain registry entries of these newly appeared programs.

I’ll write about this in the next article, don’t miss it, subscribe to site updates.

Almost every program installed on a computer tries to put itself in startup. Therefore, there are more and more icons in the system tray (Tray - next to the clock), and the loading time of the operating system is increasing every day!

In most cases there is no need for automatic download programs. How to disable autoloading of the program and reduce the number of icons near the clock?

Removing programs from startup in Windows 7 is done like this.

Press the START button 1, then search bar 2 enter a word msconfig and press the search button 3. Although, most likely, you will not need to press a button - the search will be performed automatically.

Rice. 2

Under the name msconfig, 1 program was found (Fig. 2). Click on the name msconfig.exe

Rice. 3

The System Configuration window will open (Figure 3). In this window, select the Startup tab (circled in red pencil).

Rice. 4

. Its general appearance is as in Fig. 4. The only programs you will have are those that are on your computer, and not the same as mine.

In the list of startup items, identify those programs that are blatantly loaded when Windows startup, place their icons next to the clock, and sometimes even open their dialog boxes when no one asked for them!

In my picture you see: programs that run in automatic mode. But this is the tip of the iceberg! Below is a list several times larger of programs whose autorun is disabled.

Your actions on this tab are to remove checkmarks from programs that are loaded without permission when Windows starts, and you don’t want that!

Of course, by name Startup item It can be difficult to determine which program this item belongs to. Then look at the folder of which program the Command leads to. If you cannot see the entire Command line, then use your mouse cursor to drag the separator element between the words Command and Location to the right. Then the whole line will open.

Antivirus programs and firewalls do not need to disable autoloading.

In addition, for example, I have a program Punto Switcher automatically switches between Russian and English keyboard layouts. When you work on the Internet, this program is simply irreplaceable. Naturally, you will get tired of launching it yourself every time. That's why best option- when it is in autoload.

And here are the programs Download Master, Adobe Reader and many others can be launched if necessary - why do they need to hang around in startup all the time.

After you remove the checkmarks from some programs, click the Apply and then OK buttons (Fig. 4). The following message appears.

Rice. 5

If you want to immediately admire the result of your actions, then click the Reboot button. And if you are not in a hurry, then click the Exit button without rebooting, and all the changes you have made will take effect after the next shutdown of the computer or reboot.

If the result is unexpected - somehow I accidentally turned off the system clock along with the language bar, don't worry! Just check the boxes again, reboot and everything will return to its place!

Removing programs from startup in Windows XP

In Windows XP, removing programs from startup is done like this. Click the Start button and open the main menu.

Rice. 6

In the main menu, click the Run button.

Rice. 7

The Launch Program window will open. In the Open field type: msconfig and click OK.

Rice. 8

The System Settings window will open in front of you. You will see 6 tabs in it. There are five tabs and you don't need to touch anything! Immediately click the cursor on the tab -. Its general appearance is as in Fig. 8. Only the programs you will have are the ones you installed, and not the same as mine.

In my picture you see: green checkmarks indicate programs that start automatically. But this is the tip of the iceberg! Below is a list several times larger of programs whose autorun is disabled.

Look through the list of programs and remove the green checkmark in front of the programs that you think are unnecessary.

After you select the startup items to disable, click the Apply and then OK buttons (Fig. 8). The following message will immediately appear.

Rice. 9

If you want to immediately admire the result of your actions, then click the Reboot button. And if you are not in a hurry, then you press the Exit button without rebooting, but the changes you make will still take effect after the next shutdown of the computer or reboot.

Disabling startup in Windows XP and Windows 7 is similar, so in order not to repeat yourself, you can see my tips under Figure 4.

Disabling programs in Windows 10 startup

It’s easier and faster to disable startup programs in Windows 10 via Task Manager.

To open the Task Manager, press the keys Ctrl+Shift+Esc and a window appears in front of us:

Disabling startup programs in Windows 10

In the Task Manager window, click the Startup tab. The tab displays a list of programs installed on your computer, where the Startup Status is indicated: enabled or disabled.

Click on the program for which you want to disable autoloading. The line will be highlighted in blue1. Click the Disable 2 button and this program will autorun during Windows boot won't work.

By the way, on button 2, instead of the Disable command, Enable will appear. That is, if you accidentally disabled the wrong program, you can correct the error and, by pressing the button again, enable autoloading of this program.

Almost every program installed on a computer copies itself into startup, thereby worsening the performance of the computer. You installed the program => it created a rule for Windows to run every time you turn on the computer this program=> after which the computer takes longer to turn on and if the program requires a lot of resources, it starts to slow down a little during operation, but what if there are a lot of such programs? If not controlled this process- over time, about twenty programs may appear in startup, and the computer will boot with difficulty after a few minutes, everything will slow down greatly.

At the beginning of the article, we’ll look at how to disable unnecessary things from startup using the built-in tools in Windows, and at the end - using the Ccleaner program.

How to remove unnecessary programs from startup:

1. If you have Windows Xp: go to “Start” => “Run” => enter the word msconfig => press the Enter key;

If you have Windows 7 or Vista(other versions of Windows are below): in the search bar or in the Run menu (Run is called with the Win+r keys) write msconfig and press Enter

2. Open the "Startup" tab and uncheck everything unnecessary. For those who don’t know what to leave: you need an antivirus, you need ctfmon (this language bar, it may not be in startup), also if you have a laptop, then there may be programs for working with additional keys. In general, you can disable everything except the antivirus, restart the computer, and if after rebooting you are missing something, go to this menu again, and check the box the desired program. After unchecking the boxes, click "Apply" or "OK"

3. A window will appear prompting you to restart the computer: you can reboot it immediately by clicking on “Restart”, or restart it later by clicking on “Exit without rebooting”.

4. After the computer restarts, a dialog box will appear in which you need to check the box next to “Don’t show this warning again” and click “OK”

Disable autorun programs in Windows 8, 8.1, 10.

In data Windows versions Startup management has been added to the task manager. To enter it, you need to press the Ctrl+Shift+Esc keys together (or right-click on the taskbar and select “Task Manager”).

If you open the task manager for the first time, you will only see open applications To go to the "Startup" tab, you must first left-click on "More details"

Go to the "Startup" tab, select the unnecessary one with the left mouse button and click "Disable". Same with the others unnecessary programs, select them and click disable.

How to disable startup programs with CCleaner

I already wrote earlier that CCleaner program universal, it can be used to clean your computer from excess junk that accumulates while working on the Internet; from the junk that remains after installing and uninstalling programs; clean the registry; remove unnecessary programs; manage startup; clean, etc. In general, you understand - the program is necessary :) We also download Free, it’s enough to optimize your computer’s performance, we don’t need paid versions.

After installing the program, launch CCleaner from the shortcut => go to “Tools” => “Startup” => select what you don’t need (by clicking on it with the left mouse button) and select “Turn off”. Also for any unnecessary application In startup you can right-click and select "Turn off".

When you have disabled everything unnecessary, restart your computer. Please note that after rebooting, you can enable the same programs that you disabled (by going back to the startup service - right-clicking on the desired program and selecting "Enable"). In the same way, in CCleaner you can remove unnecessary things from browser startup.

The paid version of the program costs about $25 and includes technical support, but you can do without it, it has a very clear interface, and with its help it is practically impossible to harm your computer. So take advantage of this, set up the autorun of your programs, remove unnecessary things and let your computer always please you with the speed of its work :)

Disabling everything unnecessary from startup does not guarantee that your computer will fly. There are many other reasons why it may slow down. If you have removed everything unnecessary, but it continues to slow down, I recommend: check it for: check if there is a system disk With a place, if it is not there, try it or; check disk for ; If the problem of computer braking still persists, write a detailed comment and I will try to help you find a solution. That's all for today. Good luck to you!

Good day, dear blog visitors. Today we will talk about how to disable startup programs on Windows 7. Because the more programs that open simultaneously with Windows, the slower the computer works.

Most users have noticed that the computer boots quickly after purchase, and after some time the loading time increases. Experienced owners explain this situation by saying that when installing new programs, games or utilities on a PC, additional components are automatically installed that make changes to the registry, and often to the startup registry.

It is in this situation that when you start the computer, some programs are capable of automatically loading into the computer when you turn on the PC. background. Such actions can increase the load on RAM, which entails a long system load.

It is worth noting that with autostart, not a large number of systems open installed programs, for example launch antivirus program is necessary because the utility checks the contents of the computer for the presence of viruses that could have come from the network, or the infection occurred from a flash drive or disk. Antivirus is very important and opening it will not greatly affect the startup time of windows.

However, if the start of loading is followed by the opening additional programs, then such actions can increase the startup time by an order of magnitude. Most developers intentionally add data to the registry for installation, thereby promoting their programs.

It must be remembered that disabling all programs from startup is not advisable, since many programs work on security and data protection. The first thing you need to worry about is malicious utilities, which leak into the system along with downloaded data or movies to a computer from the Internet.

When viewing data, they are able to automatically download and install without creating shortcuts, this technique makes it very difficult to find a harmful file in order to delete it.

Quite often questions arise about how to get rid of such actions if opening programs are in the way and you don’t plan to use them.

Disabling programs in Windows 7 startup

There are several fairly simple ways to solve this problem.

  • By using Msconfig;
  • Cleaning with command CCleaner;
  • Cleaning the registry Windows 7.

Command utility on Windows

Through this function you can view all the data that is used as startup programs. Such a program is launched using the “Start” command and the “Run” command.

After such simple actions A whole list opens in front of the user that launches with instead of the system. Here you need to find out whether the program is malicious or simply interferes with the PC loading. If you have problems identifying the utility, you can use a special tab where information about the program and what it is responsible for will be available.

When performing such actions, you must clearly know which program you are removing from the download. It is very important to ensure that you do not disable anti-virus systems, since such an action can have a detrimental effect on the operation of the computer itself. Similar programs completely protect your computer from malicious files.

Having selected the necessary (or rather, not necessary) utilities, uncheck the boxes next to their names and click “Ok”. After completing these steps, you should restart the computer to consolidate the work done, but this is not necessary.
