Smart robot vacuum cleaner lg hom bot square. Review of the LG HOM-BOT SQUARE robot vacuum cleaner: a useful thing or an expensive gadget? Efficient cleaning with various modes

The LG HOM-BOT Square™ Robot Vacuum Cleaner is a true Corner Cleaner! Thanks to its square body and long brushes (1.5 cm), it penetrates into corners better and provides effective cleaning along walls. Compared to previous round-shaped models, the LG HOM-BOT Square™ captures corners 89% better, improving cleaning performance in corners by 94%.

LG HOM-BOT Square™ Robot Vacuum Cleaner has an improved system Dual cameras Eye 2.0™. Previous models of robotic vacuum cleaners can go astray or get lost in the dark, because without light it is very difficult for them to map the room. But in the HOM-BOT Square™, the top camera (II-SLAM) adjusts to the light intensity and scans the ceiling regardless of the light intensity. The II-SLAM camera captures clear images in all lighting conditions and minimizes off-route disruptions. The bottom "camera" is an Optical Flow Sensor (OFS) that takes readings from the floor to determine distances and recognizes even the slightest surface changes.
Thus, the Dual Eye 2.0™ system allows the LG HOM-BOT Square™ to track the route traveled and form a new one regardless of the lighting, allowing the vacuum cleaner to “see even in the dark”, for example, under furniture.

LG HOM-BOT Square™ "knows" how far obstacles are from it. Unlike other robotic vacuum cleaners that build their route based on collisions, the LG HOM-BOT Square™ has a “Digital Bumper” based on ultrasonic sensors located on the front of the body, which helps to avoid and minimize collisions with other objects.
The ultrasonic sensor is more accurate and "sees wider". It can even recognize glass and other transparent objects.
Other robot vacuums build their route based on:
- infrared sensors that do not allow to recognize transparent objects or objects that absorb light.
- and collision sensors, which give a signal about an obstacle only directly upon collision with it.

Efficient cleaning with
different modes

The LG HOM-BOT Square™ Robot Vacuum Cleaner uses several different cleaning modes.

Main modes:

My Place Mode
This is a unique cleaning mode that allows you to clean twice in a given area in the "Zig-Zag" mode. Effective for any site with numerous obstacles.

Zigzag mode
In this mode, the vacuum cleaner moves forward and backward until it encounters an obstacle. Effective for large areas with few obstacles.

Cell by cell mode
A more complex mode, in which, after finishing cleaning a segment in the Zig-Zag mode, the vacuum cleaner moves to the next segment. Effective for difficult areas with obstacles.

Spot mode
Effective on stains. In this mode, the vacuum cleaner moves in a spiral, describing circles of 1.5 meters, in an area requiring thorough cleaning.

Auxiliary Modes: Advanced Cleaning

Turbo / Smart Turbo mode
Turbo mode maximizes motor rotation and suction power to improve cleaning performance.
Smart Turbo Mode automatically switches from Turbo mode to Smart Turbo cleaning mode when LG HOM-BOT Square™ moves from hard floor coverings on carpeted surfaces. The vacuum cleaner itself recognizes the floor covering, so if the carpet is over, the Smart Turbo mode switches to Turbo automatically.

Repeat mode
For a thorough cleaning, the LG HOM-BOT Square™ repeats the cleaning mode until the battery runs out and then returns to the base.

With a low noise level of 60 dB, cleaning your home will no longer be a hassle for you. HOM-BOT Square™ won't bother you.

Conveniently located container
for collecting dust

Unlike those robot vacuum cleaners where the dust box slides out from the side, the dust box of the HOM-BOT Square™ is located on top, which makes emptying it more hygienic. The case cover opens with one touch. The dust collector is a closed container with a convenient carrying handle. In this way, the possibility of dust getting back into the air is minimized. In addition, the container of the HOM-BOT Square™ models is quite large (0.6 l) compared to its predecessors.

Learning function

The LG HOM-BOT Square™ buffers cleaning information by recording the location of obstacles on the map. With a new cleaning cycle, the vacuum cleaner compares the map of the previous cleaning and the specified route, analyzes and finds matches, and if the cards match (cleaning is done in the same place, with the same obstacles), it cleans the specified area faster and more efficiently. Thanks to the "Learning" function, the robot vacuum cleaner avoids collision with obstacles, and also minimizes approaching dangerous sections of the route (stairs, cliff) using special sensors and reducing the speed of movement.

The first part of the name of the second LG robot vacuum cleaner that we tested is similar to the name - Hom-Bot ( hom e ro bot- "home robot"). It has an appendage in the form of a Square ( English"square"), emphasizing the shape of the body of this robot. Of course, the top view gives only a hint of squareness, but still, the geometry of the Hom-Bot Square is noticeably different from all the almost perfectly round robot vacuums we have tested. Let's see what the result of such a deviation from the established tradition.

Included accessories:

The robot and all its accessories are packed in a full-color cardboard box, and, more importantly, with a plastic carrying handle.

Appearance

In terms of the shape of the body of the vacuum cleaner, it rather resembles not a square, but a circle slightly flattened on four sides.

The bottom edges are beveled and slightly rounded, the transition from the sides to the top panel is angular.

The bevel at the bottom will help you overcome obstacles, and the vertical sides at the top reduce the chance that the vacuum cleaner will get stuck under obstacles with little clearance. The top of the case is covered with a ring panel made of transparent plastic, under which there is a substrate with a silver-red pattern. The central part of the top panel is a similarly designed plastic cover for the dust collector compartment, which leans forward and upwards.

In the center of the cover there are four capacitive touch buttons and a segmented red LED display-indicator, which is invisible in the off state. In the front part of the top panel there is a slightly protruding platform made of black mirror-smooth plastic with a window (probably plastic) of the top video camera. Along the perimeter of the case there is an insert made of mirror-smooth, black and seemingly opaque plastic, behind which are located IR sensors for obstacles, receiving signals from the remote control and detecting the charging base.

In the front of the case, you can see three holes-horns of ultrasonic obstacle sensors and a bumper strip made of soft PVC,

in the back - a grill through which air is blown out.

On the left side, closer to the back, there is a mechanical power button, protected by a soft plastic case. The lower part of the body is made of black plastic with a matte finish.

Turning the vacuum cleaner upside down, we will see two contact pads, a thruster roller, two side brushes, a yellow (or rather, according to this color is called “Pear”) compartment with the main brush, two drive wheels on spring-loaded levers, a battery compartment cover, an auxiliary roller and a peephole lower camera with four LED backlight.

In front of the bottom, closer to the edge, there are windows of three IR sensors for height difference. The side brush assemblies are protected by silver plastic covers.

The base on which the vacuum cleaner is recharged has a built-in power supply, which gives it additional weight. The base of the base is relatively large and below it there are three tenacious ribbed platforms made of elastic plastic.

The combination of these features prevents unforeseen movement of the base when maneuvering the vacuum cleaner. On the back of the base case there is a recess with two hooks, where you can neatly put the excess power cable (its length is 155 cm).

On the side of the base there is a mechanical power switch, covered with a cap made of soft translucent plastic. The vacuum cleaner comes with a small IR remote control that does not suffer from an excess of buttons.

You can store the remote control in a special recess at the top of the base.

Functioning

You can read about the functions of the vacuum cleaner in the attached user manual. Those who are just looking at such a technique can be recommended to download the manual from the Russian website of the manufacturer and study it carefully.

The axles of the driving wheels are located on a line dividing the body approximately in half. Such a kinematic scheme allows the robot to make a turn in place with a minimum change in the boundaries of the area occupied by the robot. A positive role is also played by a relatively small height, a smooth body along the perimeter and the absence of strongly protruding parts. As a result, the vacuum cleaner is distinguished by good maneuverability and the ability to penetrate tight spaces with little clearance. However, the case is not round, but slightly square. Our measurements of dimensions gave the following values: width - 339 mm, length - 345 mm, diagonal - 373 mm. That is, the robot is noticeably “wider” diagonally than it is in length or width, which causes some concern - what if the robot enters a place where it cannot turn around? The body height measured by us was 91 mm, which is rather a typical value for robots of this class. The measured weight is 2.9 kg. The cleaning speed indicated by the manufacturer is 350 mm/sec. It is stated that the robot can overcome obstacles (thresholds) up to 15 mm high (with a microfiber overlay - only up to 5 mm).

The main brush is located at the front of the body, so the vacuum cleaner does not have to go through the entire surface to be cleaned. A rubber scraper mounted on a spring-loaded frame helps to pick up debris from the floor. When cleaning, the two front brushes pick up debris from those places that the main brush cannot pass through due to steric difficulties. The example diagram below demonstrates the basic principle of dust collection:

Debris particles are thrown by the main brush into the dust collector, while the air flow created by the vacuum cleaner fan helps to move the debris. At the outlet of the dust collector, the air is filtered through a mesh, a coarse foam filter and a fine HEPA filter.

On the bar itself, in the pictures, it is explained how the overlay is attached.

To remove the dust container, by pressing on its edge, open the cover on top of the vacuum cleaner body and pull the dust container by the folding handle.

The lid of the dust container is made of transparent slightly tinted plastic, so the amount of debris in it can be assessed without even removing it from the vacuum cleaner. The yellow latch securely fixes the lid of the dust container, and the entrance slot is closed by a folding shutter, so dust is unlikely to spill out during the movement of the dust container to the garbage container. The garbage from the dust collector is easily shaken out, if necessary, its insides and filters are cleaned with a conventional vacuum cleaner, and in case of severe contamination, all parts of the dust collector, including filters, can be washed with water (but everything washed must be thoroughly dried before use!). Additionally, periodically, as necessary, it is necessary to clean the main brush and remove threads / hair wound around the axis of the side brushes and wheels. To perform these procedures, you can use the supplied brush. We also got a special tool with combs and a fiber blade, but we don’t know if it (as well as two spare side brushes) is included in the standard package. It is more convenient to clean the main brush by removing it from the compartment.

The brush cleans without any problems. The microfibre pad can be washed and dried in the usual way. The cleaning of the vacuum cleaner is completed by wiping the body, paying special attention to the windows of the IR sensors, cameras and the holes of the ultrasonic sensors. To restore the shape of the pile of the side brushes, they need to be soaked in hot water, straightened and allowed to dry. It should be noted that the bristles of the side brushes are relatively short and come out of elastic leashes, which together significantly reduces the rate of “fuzzling” in comparison with long-haired brushes without leashes like the previous LG Hom-Bot VR5901LVM model.

Please be advised that this vacuum cleaner must not be used in damp environments or on surfaces with spilled liquids. After contact of the vacuum cleaner with liquids, in the best case, it will take a long time to clean it from the adhering layer of dust, in the worst case, the vacuum cleaner may fail.

This model has five main cleaning modes:

Zigzag- single cleaning by a snake from an obstacle to an obstacle of all accessible area.

Cell by cell- the vacuum cleaner divides the room into several equal squares (3×3 m) and performs cleaning with a snake within each of the squares.

Spot- intensive cleaning of a certain area. The vacuum cleaner is either simply carried to the right place, or sent in manual control mode.

Manual- manual movement control using the remote control. From the remote control, commands are available to turn (on the spot) left and right and move forward and backward. Note that in this mode, the vacuum cleaner moves only when one of the direction buttons is pressed - this is not always convenient.

My place- cleaning within the specified boundaries.

Modifier available for all modes Turbo, in which the intensity of cleaning increases. For the first two automatic modes Additionally, you can enable the option Repeat- repeat cleaning until the battery is completely discharged. It is stated that the vacuum cleaner will automatically continue cleaning from the place of completion of work after the battery is charged, if it is discharged before the cleaning of the entire room is completed. It is also claimed that the robot can regain orientation if it was forcibly moved during cleaning (although it is recommended to return it as close as possible to the place of removal, preferably within 1 m).

It is possible to customize automatic start cleaning once or daily at a set time.

About your condition current mode cleaning, battery level, etc. - the vacuum cleaner informs with the help of a segment LED indicator with a red glow, in addition, about transitions between certain states - the beginning of cleaning, the completion of cleaning, the beginning of the search for the charging base, the start of charging, etc., as well as errors - the vacuum cleaner reports sound signals, additionally pronouncing the corresponding text female voice(unexpectedly for a job-sweeper in a pleasant, if not intimate, voice). If desired, the sound / voice notification can be turned off.

Testing

Apparently, testing was carried out with not the most latest version software (updates appear on the LG website), so the operation of the robot may differ in some ways from robots with current version firmware.

The video below was shot from one point with the maximum possible coverage of the harvested area in our conditions, the base is located at the bottom in the center, during processing part of the video sequence was accelerated five times. Mode Zigzag:

Mode Cell by cell:

The following video demonstrates the beginning and end of cleaning in the mode Cell by cell with enabled mode Turbo taken in tracking mode:

In mode Zigzag the robot passes through the cleaning area once with a snake with a minimum overlap and, if possible, in the most rational way. This mode can be used to quickly clean the room. In mode Cell by cell the trajectory is somewhat more intricate and includes a perimeter walk, but the tendency to snake movement can be traced. The robot definitely builds and uses a map of the surface to be cleaned, this can be seen from the route of movement - if possible, it cleans the surface only once and purposefully moves to the place that it has not yet cleaned. Without a map, this behavior would not be possible. The robot cleans well near the base, but sometimes it slightly touches it and displaces it a little, but not so much that this displacement would prevent the robot from returning to the base:

The robot, as a rule, drives into a narrow pen (about 50 mm wider than the width - namely the width - of the robot body) and successfully gets out of it, but in one of the first tests the vacuum cleaner got stuck there, so I had to increase the width of this pen by another 30 mm:

Even in the fast mode Zigzag the quality of harvesting is quite high and there are no large unharvested places (if you look at the enlarged photo of the test field, you can see the remaining areas with unharvested rice and individual rice grains):

In mode Cell by cell the cleaning time is doubled, but the quality of cleaning also increases, which increases even more when the mode is turned on Turbo:

In the mode until the battery is completely discharged (that is, with the option Repeat) on our flooring (commercial carpet with dense loop pile) and with the mode turned off Turbo the robot worked for about 90 minutes, while almost all test garbage was collected:

The robot left a few grains in the corners and near the base:

And a couple of rice grains were scattered across the square. The result is very good. Recharging after working with the option Repeat, the robot for some reason wanted to continue cleaning, although the entire area had already been cleaned in the previous cycle. This behavior is somewhat different from what we believe is described in the manual.

In mode Spot the robot cleans along an unfolding, then folding spiral in a circle with a diameter of one and a half meters or a little more than a meter (recall that the test area is a square with sides of 3 m):

Note that in this mode, the robot returns approximately to the starting point and, upon completion of the process, is oriented in the same way as at the beginning of cleaning.

There are no devices for spatial limitation/organization of cleaning, therefore, in order to prevent the robot from entering some sensitive places, the user will have to invent/arrange mechanical obstacles. To limit the area to be cleaned once, you can use the function My place- first, manually outline the perimeter of the area to be cleaned, then start cleaning:

In practice, you will hardly want to use this mode often, since it is not very convenient to control the robot in manual mode, and even from the IR remote control.

We measured the noise level in the mode Spot, in which the robot moves around the microphone longer:

ModeNoise level, dBA, minimum / maximum
Normal51,2/53,4
Turbo 54,6/56,4

If you do not turn on the mode Turbo, then the robot works relatively quietly, so it can probably be launched at night (by turning off the sound notification), if not in the room where the owners sleep, then in the next room. For comparison, the noise level in these conditions of a conventional (not the quietest) vacuum cleaner is approximately 76.5 dBA. In mode Turbo the volume of work increases and in addition to mechanical noises, a nasty whistle appears (apparently from the fan). Sometimes, when moving quickly, the robot began to make a rattling sound, which, however, did not last long. In addition, a couple of times after some time after the start of cleaning, the robot began to knock loudly - a knock is heard at the end of the video. As it turned out, the reason for this was rice grains jammed in the slots of the main brush compartment. After proper cleaning, the knocking stopped.

When charging the vacuum cleaner on the base, the consumption from the mains is about 23 watts. If the vacuum cleaner is turned on, charged and is on the base, then 4.1 watts are consumed from the network. If the vacuum cleaner is removed from the base, then the consumption will drop to 1.1 W - this is how much the base itself consumes, included in the network. To charge the battery after its discharge in modes with the option Repeat takes a little less than two hours. Note that the battery compartment cover is screwed on with two screws with a secret head in the form of a depressed gear with a central ledge. Therefore, although the process of removing the battery is described in the manual, it is not so easy to do this without the appropriate, not very common tool.

findings

Robot vacuum cleaner LG Hom-Bot Square (VR6270LVM) is distinguished by the presence of an advanced orientation system that allows you to quickly and rationally clean the entire area available to it, a good set of modes, functions and mode modifiers, and, most importantly, it cleans very well. Its body is slightly square, which slightly reduces maneuverability in tight spaces, but the side brushes spaced at the corners of the body without any problems remove debris from corners and close to obstacles. We also note the large area of the working surface of the microfiber lining, which, perhaps, makes this device a good floor mopper with a smooth surface. For its stylish body with a noble burgundy top panel and successful technical solutions, this robot deserves an editorial award for original design.

A year ago, we tested the LG VR5905L robot vacuum cleaner and noted both its advantages (first of all, very quiet operation and ergonomics) and disadvantages. And in the first place among them was insufficient suction power. And here is the long-awaited novelty - LG HOM-BOT SQUARE - the only vacuum cleaner with a square (almost square) shape. But the difference from its predecessor is not only in the design developed for better working out the corners (by the way, the side brushes are extended by 1.5 cm for this)...

The test was conducted by Polina Strizhak

ADVANTAGES: unique square design, elongated side brushes, very convenient dust collection system, voice prompts, maximum "intellectual" abilities, ability to clean in the dark, overcome obstacles, turbo mode, memory, learnability, ease of operation, highest ergonomics, large wipe area, effective and stylish look.

DISADVANTAGES: there is no “virtual wall” motion limiter and sensors for detecting increased pollution.

GENERAL IMPRESSIONS

The novelty is equipped with an unprecedented number of sensors (45!) that help the robot navigate and make a route, the ability to remember the features of the room, learning, "night vision" - orientation in the dark.

HOM-BOT SQUARE speaks Russian (it is possible to turn off prompts), is equipped with a key lock function, comes with a fine dust cloth 2.5 times larger than its predecessor.

The volume of the dust container has also been increased by 200 ml, but the dust container itself is just as hygienic to clean and easy to remove as before. HOM-BOT SQUARE is extraordinarily beautiful and works quietly. It's hard to say who it's competing with in this test - with competitors, with the previous model VR5905LM or with no one, because so far it's one of a kind.

PROGRAMS

Main Modes

  • Zigzag: the robot moves back and forth until the sensors detect an obstacle. Effective for rooms large area with few obstacles.
  • Cell by cell: the robot moves through segments resembling squares. Suitable for difficult areas with obstacles.
  • Spot: The robot moves in a wide spiral for spot cleaning within a range of 1.5 m².
  • My place mode
Cleaning algorithm that allows you to clean twice in the area specified from the remote control in Zigzag mode - to improve the quality of cleaning.

    ERGONOMIC CONTROL

    Control Panel

It is located on top of the cover and consists of only three buttons and a display. The Mode button selects the program, each time you press voice assistant tells which program is selected. With the Turbo button, you can manually turn on or off the mode of increased suction power and increased speed of rotation of the main brush.

On/Off button - confirm the program selection or turn off the robot. The Home button directs the vacuum cleaner to the base. Simultaneous holding for 3 seconds. Turbo and Mode buttons can be used to lock the control panel (e.g. childproof) and unlock it. The buttons are even specially connected by an arrow pattern so as not to refer to the instructions.

    Picto display

With the help of pictograms, the display shows the selected mode, battery level, repeat (if enabled), timer (if enabled), turbo mode (if enabled), current time(AM/PM).

    Sound signals

Every action of the user, the start and end of the vacuum cleaner, the choice of program or the problem is “spoken out”: voice prompts make communication with the robot a real pleasure. It even greets the owner when turned on! I immediately wanted to answer him and call him something.

    Remote control

It is used not only for duplicating the control panel, but also for setting the timer, sending the vacuum cleaner to the base for recharging if it is necessary to select the My Place program. With its help, the vacuum cleaner can be directed to pollution and “show” it the boundaries where it needs to be cleaned more carefully.

    Timer settings

If the current time is set, you need to press the Clock button on the remote control and select the time using the arrows on the remote control. Pressing the Schedule button on the remote control completes the schedule creation process.

    CLEANING QUALITY

Conditions: tests were carried out in the showroom of the manufacturer, a promotional model was tested with an incomplete battery capacity, a heavily polluted area of about 15 m² with corners and obstacles (laminate) and a small area of about 1.5x2.5 m (carpet) were removed.

In contrast to the home tests of other test models (where there were mostly ordinary impurities), here we were forced to create contamination and, I must say, overdid it. It is unlikely that a robot created not for basic cleaning, but for daily maintenance of cleanliness, in real "life" will have to deal with tea, flour, and foam plastic crumbs poured over the entire surface.

    Corner before cleaning and after

Works everywhere - in corners and on carpet

    Running with obstacles.

  • Thresholds. The manufacturer claims easy overcoming thresholds 1 cm high. There were none in the company’s showroom, but 1.7 cm thick foam panels were in abundance. They played the role of thresholds that the robot moved effortlessly.
  • Under furniture. The robot easily drives under furniture on legs with a height of 9.2 cm. We put obstacles in the form of chairs (ordinary, with 4 legs, and modern, with a U-shaped support). He drove under the legs and within the limits of the support and, without stopping there, easily got out of the "ambush".
  • Naturally, the first thing that interested us in this model was the quality of the corners. The manufacturer claims that, thanks to the square design and extended side brushes, new robot captures corners much better than round models. We did not compare, but simply decided to evaluate the capabilities of the novelty: we poured garbage into the corners. I must say that, indeed, our test subject took out almost all the garbage, literally 1 cm² remained, but this, believe me, is unattainable with round models that do not work out the corners at all.

The quality of cleaning a smooth floor is quite good, and with a microfibre cloth it is impeccable, especially if fine dust is a concern.

The quality of carpet cleaning is excellent, especially since the robot automatically turns on the turbo mode when it hits the carpet and the suction power increases. If you want to increase suction on a smooth floor, then this mode can be turned on manually by pressing the corresponding button.

In our test, the carpet was thickly sprinkled with our trash mix, but the "kid" did it. True, there was a small speck of flour left, but the My Place program helped here: we simply assigned the robot an area with a spot and made it work hard in this place.

    NOISE LEVEL

As we have already noted, this is a very quiet model, it practically does not cause discomfort, only in turbo mode the noise level rises (up to 62 dB), but not so much as to make you want to run out of the room. By the way, you can set the cleaning time for the moment when you are not at home, and you will not hear anything at all.

    BASE SEARCH

During the tests, the robot found the base and "parked" without problems. At the same time, he always announced his actions: “Search for the base begins”, “Charging begins”, “Charging is over”.

    ERGONOMIC DESIGN

Dust collector. The dust collector compartment is located on the top, which is much more convenient than on the bottom or on the side. It opens with a light touch of a finger: the lid swings smoothly, and the container can be pulled out by the handle. The design of the dust collector is closed, so nothing spills out of it, it can be easily carried to the trash can, and the contents can be shaken out in one motion.

Cleaning brushes and other parts. The round brush is collapsible, the roller is removed and cleaned very easily. Two replacement side brushes are included.

Replacement / cleaning of filters. The exhaust filter is to be replaced once a year, it is simply removed and easily installed in place. The cyclone system of the dust container is washable.

    Additional amenities

HOM-BOT SQUARE buffers cleaning information by recording the location of obstacles on the map. With a new cleaning cycle, the vacuum cleaner compares the map of the previous cleaning and the specified route, analyzes, finds matches, and if the cards match (cleaning is done in the same place, with the same obstacles), it cleans faster and more efficiently.

Thanks to the Learn function, the vacuum cleaner avoids collision with obstacles, minimizes the approach to dangerous sections of the route (stairs, cliff) using special sensors and speed reduction.

    LG HOM-BOT SQUARE

    Robot vacuum cleaner

    MODEL OVERVIEW

When building an image, the vacuum cleaner uses two cameras (II-SLAM and OFS) to localize its location and plot the most efficient cleaning route, thus being able not to return to an already traveled path or continue cleaning from an interrupted area. Infrared and ultrasonic sensors minimize collisions and prevent falls from edges. The unique shape of the vacuum cleaner - square and elongated side brushes allow you to clean even hard-to-reach corners. The dust container is located on top, allowing you to easily remove it for emptying. The lithium-polymer battery retains its capacity even after repeated recharging. The digital bumper makes it easy to avoid obstacles, even in low light. 4 cleaning modes will help you thoroughly clean any room (Spot, Cell by Cell, Zig-Zag, My Place mode).
Automatically recognizes surface changes and turns on turbo mode on carpet.
Auto-charging and auto-parking, intelligent auto-diagnostics, voice prompts, thin body (9cm) and low noise level (only 60 dB) will make cleaning comfortable and fast.

    SMART CLEANING WITH HELP
UPDATED DUAL EYE 2.0 TM CAMERA SYSTEM

The LG HOM-BOT SQUARE Robot Vacuum Cleaner comes with an improved top camera (II-SLAM).

Previous models of robotic vacuum cleaners can go astray or get lost in the dark, because without light it is very difficult to get a picture.

That's why HOM-BOT SQUARE adopts the improved Dual Eye 2.0™ camera system, with a new II-SLAM camera that calculates and adjusts to light intensity to scan the ceiling.

FROM new system Dual Eye 2.0™ Cameras No matter how heavily lit the cleaning area is, the II-SLAM camera captures clear images in any light and minimizes off-route disruptions. Thus, Dual Eye 2.0 ™ allows you to track the route passed and form a new one, regardless of the lighting, the vacuum cleaner “sees even in the dark”, for example, under furniture.

    FAST AND EFFICIENT CLEANING
    THANKS TO THE LEARNING FUNCTION

HOM-BOT SQUARE buffers cleaning information by recording the location of obstacles on the map. With a new cleaning cycle, the vacuum cleaner compares the map of the previous cleaning and the given route, analyzes and finds matches, and if the cards match (cleaning is done in the same place, with the same obstacles), it cleans the given area faster and more efficiently.

Thanks to the Learn function, the robot vacuum cleaner avoids obstacles, and also minimizes approaching dangerous sections of the route (stairs, cliff) using special sensors and speed reduction.

IMPROVED CLEANING WITH TURBO AND SMART TURBO MODES

Turbo Cleaning Mode is a feature that maximizes the motor's rotational power and suction power to improve carpet cleaning performance.

Smart Turbo mode - a function that activates the turbo cleaning mode automatically when moving to carpeted surfaces (HOM-BOT SQUARE recognizes the type of surface, turns off automatically when moving to the floor)

    EFFICIENT CLEANING
    VIA VARIOUS MODES

The LG HOM-BOT SQUARE robot vacuum cleaner uses several different cleaning modes:

    • My Place Mode
A unique cleaning algorithm that allows you to clean the area set from the control panel twice in the "zig-zag" mode to achieve maximum results.
    • Basic Modes
      • zigzag;
      • cell by cell;
      • spot.

    COLLISION-FREE CLEANING
    THANKS TO THE DIGITAL BUMPER

LG HOM-BOT SQUARE "knows" at what distance obstacles are located from it. Unlike other robotic vacuum cleaners that build their route based on the principle of collisions, HOM-BOT SQUARE has a digital bumper based on ultrasonic sensors, which helps to avoid and minimize collisions with other objects.

The ultrasonic sensor is more accurate and "sees wider", even glass and other transparent objects can be recognized.

Other robot vacuums build their route based on:

    • The infrared sensor does not recognize transparent objects or objects that absorb light.
    • The collision sensor gives a signal about an obstacle directly upon collision with it.

    HYGIENE CLEANING THANKS TO
CONVENIENT LOCATION OF THE DUST COLLECTOR

Unlike those robot vacuum cleaners where the dust container extends from the side, the dust container of the HOM-BOT SQUARE is located at the top, which increases the hygiene of emptying. The case cover opens with one touch, the dust collector is a closed container with a convenient carrying handle.

In this way, the possibility of dust getting back into the air is minimized. In addition, the container of the HOM-BOT SQUARE models is quite large (0.6 l) compared to its predecessors.

    WIDE HEPA FILTER

Thanks to innovations, in the new models of HOM-BOT SQUARE robot vacuum cleaners, it has become possible to increase in size and make the HEPA 11 filter wider, which controls the collection of even microparticles of dust for clean air after cleaning.

    MICROFIBER LINING GOT BIGGER

The new HOM-BOT SQUARE microfiber nozzle is 2.5 times larger. This nozzle is used in the event that it is necessary not only to vacuum, but also to wipe the floor. With such a large nozzle, not a single spot on the floor will remain in your home!

    BUTTON LOCK

The key lock function prevents incorrect use or accidental activation of the device by children or pets.

    SCHEDULED CLEANING

With the help of the timer, you can set the most suitable cleaning time for you, and HOM-BOT SQUARE will clean at the appointed time.

    BATTERY WITHOUT MEMORY EFFECT

Unlike Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) batteries, HOM-BOT SQUARE is equipped with Li-Ion Polymer battery to increase device life. The lithium polymer battery retains up to 90% of its capacity even after 300 recharges. Thanks to this, you will be able to change the battery in the device less often.
