Analog Android allows you to perform many functions directly on the PC

The popularity and openness of Android allows you to install it even on the most budget devices. Not everyone is ready for a powerful device just because of the ability to play modern games. That is why there are various operating system emulators that allow you to run mobile programs on your computer. In addition, the program will be useful for those who want to test a mobile application before installing on the device.

One of the most famous is the BlueStacks simulator. It has great features, but many gamers complain about incorrect operation and many errors during installation and authorization. Consider the popular errors in the program, as well as what to do if BlueStacks does not install or does not start.

Program features

According to the developers, BlueStacks allows you to use any mobile application on your computer, including games, and thanks to synchronization, even call and send SMS. All data is stored securely in case of an emergency shutdown.

96% of applications and 86% of games are compatible with the emulator, you can use the camera, touch screen, there is a file transfer function between Windows and Android, the work is geared for using a mouse and keyboard. In addition, you can obtain superuser rights and run applications in full screen mode. In all respects, this simulator is the best to date.

Computer requirements

Your computer must meet the minimum requirements. If all conditions are not met, the chance of an error is greatly increased.

  • The program runs on versions of Windows XP and higher, as well as Mac OS X.
  • The central processor must be at least 2 GHz and have support for Intel or AMD virtualization technology. This mode is enabled through the BIOS. If Virtual, Virtualization, or a similar name is available there, you can use BlueStacks normally. Most support this technology.
  • Launching applications will require a minimum of 1 GB of RAM, and if you want to run games, it is better to have 2 gigabytes of memory on your computer.
  • Installation requires 1 GB of free hard disk space.

If your computer is not an ancient calculator, surely its power will be enough for BlueStacks to work properly.

Although BlueStacks is constantly improving, there are no perfect programs in the world. Periodically, users of even the best Android emulator encounter problems that interfere with playing games, running or testing programs. Consider the most common reasons why BlueStacks crashes or doesn't work at all.

As a rule, users face four problems when using the Android BlueStacks emulator. Either the program simply does not install, or it for some reason refuses to start, or the Internet does not work, or the applications do not install (or do not work). We consider each of the cases in more detail.

Case 1: The emulator is not installed

What to do if BlueStacks is not installed? The following actions will help:

  • Check your system configuration. If it does not meet the minimum requirements of the latest version, you will have to use another computer. A simpler option is to install an older version of BlueStacks.
  • Re-download the installation file from the official site. Check that it is fully downloaded.
  • Close the rest of the programs during installation.

Case 2: Launch Issues

Let's say the installation was correct, and yet BlueStacks does not start. In this case, you can try the following steps:

This action should help if error code 2 appears in BlueStacks. We recommend that you verify that the program is operational immediately after downloading.

When installing various programs, malfunctions may occur, due to which the continuation of the operation becomes impossible. Often in such situations, an error text is displayed on the screen, which explains the reason. This article will talk about problems when installing the BlueStacks emulator, or rather, the error "BlueStacks is already installed on this machine", which translates as "BlueStacks is already installed on this machine.

BlueStacks Error “Latest Version Already Installed”

It is preliminary worth talking about the error itself and the reasons for its occurrence, and only then give detailed instructions for elimination.

So, from the text of the error message you can understand that the installation process is interrupted due to the presence of the installed program on the computer. In this case, just uninstall the program and re-run the installation file. However, the problem can be observed even on those computers where BlueStacks is not. What to do in this case?

First, let's look at the possible causes of the problems, or they can be the following:

  1. Incorrect removal of a previous version of the application. The most common reason is this. It consists in the fact that users perform the removal of programs through the file manager "Explorer", deleting not all files from the computer and without cleaning the registry.
  2. The presence of an installed version of the program. Perhaps the user simply forgot that BlueStacks is already on the computer and is trying to reinstall it.
  3. There are entries in the registry. Sometimes the cause of the error is residual entries that were not deleted from the registry. This is extremely rare, but there may still be failures when deleting the old version of the emulator.

How to fix the BlueStacks is already installed error

Despite the variety of causes of the problem, the instructions for resolving it are universal. For the next BlueStacks installation attempt to succeed, first complete these steps:

  1. Restart your computer.
  2. Once on the desktop, press Win + R.
  3. In the “Run” window that appears, write the command “% temp%” and press Enter.
  4. In the folder that opens, select all the files and delete them by pressing the Delete key.
  5. Download and install the uninstall tool on your computer.
  6. Use it to uninstall BlueStacks.
  7. Restart your computer.
  8. Repeat the installation of the program again.

After that, during installation, the “BlueStacks is already installed” error should not appear, since all residual files on the computer have been deleted.

Alternative way to solve the problem

Often, the previous method of fixing the problem helps, however, if this did not happen and the error still appears, then alternative methods of solution can be taken, for example, removal through the "Programs and Features":

  1. Enter the Start menu.
  2. Open the "All Applications" item.
  3. In the list, find the "Standard" folder.
  4. From the list, select "Control Panel."
  5. In the window that opens, run the "Programs and Features" utility.
  6. In the list of all applications installed on your computer, look for BlueStacks.
  7. Right-click on the emulator and select “Delete”.

After that, the program for uninstalling the application from the computer will open. Follow all instructions to complete this operation.

You can also try to independently clean the disk of residual program files. They are located in three different directories:

  • C: \\ Program Files \\ BlueStacks;
  • C: \\ ProgramData \\ BlueStacks;
  • C: \\ ProgramData \\ BlueStacksSetup /

If after performing the above steps the error did not disappear, then you will need to manually clean the registry from the emulator entries:

  1. Press Win + R.
  2. In the window that appears, run the "regedit" command.
  3. Go to the "BLUESTACKS" directory, which is located on the following path: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \\ SOFTWARE".
  4. Select all the entries in the right pane.
  5. Click the right mouse button.
  6. Select the "Delete" item.

After that, it remains only to restart the computer and try again to install the BlueStacks program. The error should disappear.

BlueStacks HD App Player is a special program that allows you to run Android applications on the Windows operating system. By installing BlueStacks you get a shell on your Windows PC, into which you can download your desired programs and games directly from the Play Market without the need to use an Android smartphone. The emulator allows you to run Android applications in window or full screen mode, and almost everyone will be able to deal with it. BlueStacks version 0.8.11.3116 (the latest at the time of this writing) has a preinstalled version of Android 4.0.4. The great advantage of the emulator is that it supports Windows XP.

System requirements

The application is demanding on computer settings. To run BlueStacks, you need 1 GB of free RAM, which means that if you have Windows 7, the size of RAM should be at least 2 GB.

To run 3D games it is necessary (depending on the processor). Also, the video card must support OpenGL at least 2.0.

You can install BlueStacks by downloading the online installer from the official site. If you have a limited connection, you can find an offline installer on the Internet. At the moment, there are many assemblies with pre-installed games, but we will install from the official site. So, download and run the installation file. Click "Continue" (Fig. 1), then select the place where we want to install (I left by default), and click "Next" (Fig. 2). In the next dialog, we see two checkmarks, leave them turned on for the ability to download games from the Play Store, as well as synchronize games, and click on the "Install" button (Fig. 3). BlueStacks installation starts, which may take several minutes (Figure 4).

Upon completion of the installation, the emulator will start in full-screen mode (Fig. 5), initialization and configuration of the built-in Android OS will be performed (Fig. 6). During the setup process, authorization in your Google account will be requested for the possibility of installing applications from the Play Store (Fig. 8), which will consist of two steps.

We press "Continue", two options of an entrance will be offered: creation of a new account and entrance into the existing. I chose the second option, as I already have an account. In the next window you need to enter your login (Google email) and password (Fig. 9). The default is Russian input language. To switch to English, you need to configure the keyboard layout. To do this, click on the keyboard icon next to the clock and select the option "Configure input methods." In the window that opens, click “Android Keyboard” (Fig. 10), then “Input Languages” (Fig. 11), uncheck the “System Language” checkbox and select “Russian” and “English (USA)” (Fig. 12) )

Then click the "Back" button (the first button in the lower left corner). English appeared in the layout menu (Fig. 13), put the "Use physical keyboard" switch to the "OFF" position to enter the mouse with the keyboard on the screen and enter your login and password in the appropriate fields, then click on the "Login" button. Upon successful login, a backup of the system will be offered (I refused it by removing the corresponding checkmark), and click "Next" (Fig. 15). A window will appear informing about the successful completion of the first step and a request to complete the second step (Fig. 16), click on the "Continue" button.

You will be prompted to re-enter the password to enter your account, enter the password and click the "Login" button (Fig. 17). A familiar window about successful authorization will appear (Fig. 18), after clicking the "Let’s Go!" and accepting the terms of use of Google Play (Fig. 19), you will be redirected to the Play Store to install games and applications (Fig. 20).

Install apps from the Play Store

To install the desired game, use the search (Fig. 21), then on the game page click "Install" (Fig. 22) and "Accept" (Fig. 23). The game will download and install. After that, it can be launched from the main page (click on the "Home" button, the second button in the lower left corner) (Fig. 24).

You can also launch games from the Android menu. To enter the menu, click on the button with a plus sign in the upper right corner.

During game launch, information about the control keys is displayed. To prevent the window from appearing every time you start it, check the "Don’t show again for this app" checkbox and click on the "Close" button.

When installing applications, do not forget that the emulator has limited memory (8 GB), which is taken from the hard drive of your computer. You can view the amount of remaining memory by clicking on the "Settings" button in the Android menu, and then - "Memory".

Installing applications from a computer

On the Internet you can find a large number of Android games and applications for installing offline. To do this, download the installation file (extension ".apk") to your computer and double-click on it.

When you close the window, the emulator does not actually end, but only its shell closes. To terminate the program completely and free up memory, click on the BlueStacks icon in the Windows tray and select the "Exit" option from the context menu.
