When choosing these models, we relied on various criteria:

  • user recommendations in online stores, on review sites;
  • prices;
  • options;
  • functionality;
  • common sense (to make the purchase really useful).

Why are there no expensive models on our list?

We do not think that this is a luxury, since such routers have a wide range of functions. But the average user will not overpay for the appearance or options that he does not use.

How should you choose?

To give advice, you need to understand how an ordinary person answers the question: "How to choose a router?" To do this, just read the user reviews of the device that is installed in their home. This is what we did.

Most of the users named the stability of the device as the main criterion. Regardless of the requirements or operating conditions, this characteristic was the main one. An equally important parameter is the data transfer rate. This is another criterion that has been emphasized in the reviews.

We also believe that ease of setup is important too. Especially for the fair sex, who often have to choose and operate equipment on their own. Sometimes you end up with something like this :)

To confirm our findings, we conducted a small survey. It was attended by users of social networks and visitors to our site. In total, about 150 people were interviewed. They were asked one question: "The most important parameters of a Wi-Fi router" and several answer options:

  • data transfer rate (36.6%);
  • stability (41.6%);
  • safety (9.2%);
  • range of transmitted frequencies (1.8%);
  • ease of customization (2.5%);
  • price (3.3%);
  • I do not pay attention to the criteria (5%).

As a result, as we expected, stability and data transfer speed are the main criteria when choosing a Wi-Fi router.

Specifications

At the same time, there are a little more important characteristics that you need to pay attention to when choosing a Wi-Fi router.

Baud rate

Not the most important parameter, because theoretically even budget options have a data transfer rate of up to 150 Mbps over a Wi-Fi channel. It all depends on what speed your provider provides. With the Internet at 20-50 Mbit / s, it makes no sense to buy a router with information transfer rates at a speed of 300-1300 Mbit / s.

The most common standard today is 2.4 GHz. But due to the fact that it is very congested, this negatively affects the quality of the Wi-Fi signal. The 5 GHz frequency standard is less popular, but not all models support it. Devices of the middle and high price segment operate simultaneously at 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies.

Number of antennas

There are models with internal and external antennas. The number of antennas does not increase the range of the Wi-Fi signal, but it does affect its stability. The best option today is routers with two external antennas.

Stability of work

This indicator is influenced by the software of the router and the number of antennas. The firmware of the device must be constantly updated, so it is better to buy devices from well-known and trusted manufacturers who provide technical support for the released equipment even after several years.

Wi-Fi network protection

Most models use the following safety standards:

  • WEP (minimum security);
  • WPA (length of encryption keys up to 128 bits - TKIP technology);
  • WPA2 (up to 256-bit encryption keys - AES technology) is the most secure standard.

The best models for the home

Important! The choice of a router for a house and an apartment is no different, because modern buildings have the same structural characteristics and are created from the same materials. Therefore, all the models presented in this list are perfect for use in the house and apartment.

The choice of a Wi-Fi router for home is different in each case, because the user proceeds from his preferences, considerations and requirements. The devices presented below, in our opinion, are the best choice in terms of quality / stability / price ratio.

Xiaomi Mi Wi-Fi mini

The best choice!

The best solution in terms of price / quality / performance ratio. A model that supports the data transmission standard 802.11a / b / g / n / ac at speeds up to 1167 Mbps, which is a nice addition. The manufacturer offers two firmware options: standard and for developers (it has a larger set of functions and access to the router console via ssh). But in both cases, it is presented in Chinese.

The USB port is used to connect an external hard drive. There is a minimal set of options for managing it. But the user, using the built-in utilities for the router, can autonomously download files to an external drive by clicking on the links.

If you have problems with Internet access, you can use the standard connection diagnostic utility.

Advantages

  • design;
  • affordable cost;
  • WAN speed 1167 Mbps;
  • the ability to connect an external drive;
  • a large set of settings and capabilities in the firmware.

disadvantages

  • instructions and interface in Chinese;
  • two LAN ports;
  • speed of LAN ports is 100 Mbit / s.

TP-LINK TL-WA901ND

The Tp-Link TL-WA901ND model will be no less good acquisition. Its main feature is support for the PoE standard, with which the router can be powered via an Ethernet cable. For this, a special adapter is supplied with the device.

The advantages of the device include three detachable antennas, which increase the stability of the device at a signal propagation distance in open areas - up to 270 meters.

The main drawback of the TP-LINK TL-WA901ND model is the lack of LAN ports for connecting computers and laptops. In addition, as users note, it periodically freezes, which is why the router has to be rebooted.

Advantages

  • design;
  • three detachable antennas;
  • ease of customization;
  • range of Wi-Fi network;
  • PoE technology.

disadvantages

  • lack of LAN ports;
  • freezes.

ASUS RT-N56U

At first glance, the model is striking, as it is made in the original case. At the same time, support for two frequency ranges (2.4 and 5 GHz) allows it to work stably even in houses with a lot of interference in the absence of external antennas. The data transfer rate over LAN ports is up to 1 Gbps, which is very convenient in modern conditions.

The presence of two USB ports increases the functionality of the model, since they allow you to connect an external drive. But the data transfer rate to the HDD is at the level of 14-16 and 10-12 MB / s when reading and writing, so it will be problematic to use it to work with large files.

The lack of PoE technology limits the mobility of the device, but with such a large functionality, the router needs an uninterrupted and powerful power source.

Advantages

  • design;
  • LAN speed 1000 Mbps;
  • WAN speed 300 Mbps;
  • two USB ports;
  • ease of customization;
  • great functionality.

disadvantages

  • speed of USB ports 10-16 MB / s;
  • it is not recommended to use external drives with a capacity of more than 1 TB.

Top 5 routers in the budget segment

In this list, we presented routers in the budget segment, the cost of which will delight any buyer, but in use they showed themselves on the good side, working stably, reliably and without any complaints from users.

TP-LINK TL-WR841N

Budget models of routers are devoid of any frills, so it is difficult to talk about their advantages and disadvantages. The main difference between the TP-LINK TL-WR841N and other inexpensive devices is the configuration interface. It is almost the same as the top models and has a clear structure. Therefore, setting up a gadget will not be difficult even for an inexperienced user.

But the limited speed of the LAN ports (100 Mbps) and the low data transfer rate over the Wi-Fi network will not allow using it to the maximum under heavy loads. This means that it is not suitable for installation in the office.

Advantages

  • low cost;
  • easy setup;
  • clear interface;
  • compact size.

disadvantages

  • low data transfer rate;
  • instability of work;

D-link DIR-300 / A / D1

What immediately catches the eye when examining this router is the data transfer speed over the wireless network. This should alert any buyer, since today some users have access to the Internet at a speed of 1 Gb / s, for which this model will not work at all. In addition, it has a small range.

But its main advantage is a stylish, modern, interesting design and a WPS button, placed on the side face, so that it will be convenient and easy to connect any gadget. Therefore, the optimal place of use for this model is at home.

Advantages

  • low cost;
  • stylish design

disadvantages

  • low data transfer rate;
  • limited scope of use.

Netis WF2419E

The best choice!

Despite the fact that the device is made in China and belongs to the budget price segment, its build quality is very good. In addition, the factory firmware provides a wide functionality of the device, which is not standard for inexpensive models. Therefore, it is perfect for use both at home and in the office.

The router provides high speed data transfer over wired and wireless networks. With its low cost, this is a huge advantage. In general, the model has proven itself well, as evidenced by a huge number of positive reviews.

Advantages

  • low cost;
  • high data transfer rate;
  • easy setup;
  • stable work;
  • functionality.

disadvantages

  • the speed of LAN ports is 100 Mbps (although it is difficult to call this a disadvantage).

Tenda N301

The compact design of the Tenda N301 makes it easy to install almost anywhere in your home or office. If you add to this the simplicity of network configuration, then the device is great for use at home even by inexperienced users.

The inability to wall-mount the model can become an obstacle in use in some cases. But this is not a critical issue. Otherwise, the router is no different from other representatives of the budget segment, operating at a frequency of 2.4 GHz and having a data transfer rate over a Wi-Fi network up to 300 Mbps.

Advantages

  • low cost;
  • ease of customization;
  • compact body.

disadvantages

  • unstable work;
  • no wall mounting;
  • weak signal.

ZyXEL Keenetic Start

This model is the younger "brother" of ZyXEL Keenetic and differs from it in a smaller set of available options. In addition, it is difficult for it to cope with a large number of connected devices, so it is not suitable for use in the office or at home, where there are a huge number of devices with a Wi-Fi adapter. This is due to the weak processor used on the model.

Ease of customization will delight any user. And the lack of heating and the fact that the router does not "cut" the speed distinguish it from many competitors in its segment. In addition, the affordable cost makes ZyXEL Keenetic Start an excellent choice for a small house or one-room apartment.

Advantages

  • low cost;
  • ease of customization;
  • does not overheat.

disadvantages

  • weak processor;
  • weak signal;
  • freezes when connecting a large number of devices.

Mobile routers

If you do not have access to a wired Internet, you can use mobile Wi-Fi routers that have a SIM card slot. They connect to the wireless Internet via a mobile connection, and then "distribute" it to other devices. Check the price

It should be noted right away that the router works only in 2G / 3G networks, therefore it is limited in data transmission speed. In addition, there is no charger included, only a USB cable. But, on the other hand, it allowed to reduce the cost of the model and make it more accessible to the user. In addition, sometimes the lack of an LCD display, which comes with the "older" model M5350, adds to the inconvenience.

The disadvantages also include the lack of a "modem" function when connected to a computer. But this is a router, so it shouldn't work in this mode. The rest of the router has good technical characteristics, does not hang, and accepts the network well. And if we take into account the compact size, high-quality and not easily soiled case, we can safely say that the device can be carried with you in your pocket wherever you go.

Advantages

  • compact size;
  • stable work;
  • an adapter for SIM-cards is included in the kit.

disadvantages

  • no power adapter;
  • works in 2G / 3G networks;
  • no LCD.

What to look for when buying?

There is a wide variety of different Wi-Fi routers on store shelves today, and it is important to pay attention to some points when choosing a device, which will be discussed below.

  1. Questions to the provider... If the provider has not provided you with their device, you need to find out the type of LAN connector that it uses to distribute the Internet, as well as the connection protocol, and in the future look for a Wi-Fi router with the same parameters.
  2. Baud rate... If the provider's service package includes a data transfer rate of more than 100 Mbit / s, you need to select a router with LAN connectors of the Gigabit Ethernet standard that support the speed of 1 Gbit / s. If the Internet speed is less than this, you can get by with a device with Fast Ethernet ports operating at speeds up to 100 Mbps.
  3. Frequency range- if you intend to use several wireless gadgets, download large amounts of information, play online games and watch streaming video in high definition - you need to choose a Wi-Fi router with two frequency bands and multiple antennas, operating on the IEEE 802.11 ac wireless LAN standard - and for working with documents, surfing the Internet and communicating in social. networks, a model with one antenna supporting a local network of the 802.11 n class is sufficient.
  4. Wi-Fi range in the instructions does not coincide with the real one, since it is spelled out for ideal conditions. There are many walls in any room, and the signal level due to this drops significantly, therefore, the Wi-Fi coverage diameter specified in the characteristics of 100 meters may in fact turn out to be no more than 20 meters. Do not buy a router with an antenna hidden inside the case - such devices are weaker in distributing Wi-Fi.
  5. Number of antennas directly affects the speed of the LAN devices. If the router has only one antenna, it is forced to divide its power between receiving and transmitting data, and two antennas already distribute the information flows among themselves: one antenna works for transmitting, and the other for receiving. The maximum number of antennas in a Wi-Fi router is 6, respectively, the quality of Wi-Fi distribution in this model is very high. And yet, if the antennas of the router are removable, you can install more powerful or directional antennas instead.
  6. USB ports in a Wi-Fi router, they make it possible to connect a flash drive, hard drive, printer and 3G / 4G modem to it to secure the Internet - if this is provided by the functionality of the model.
  7. WEB interface in the router will allow you to quickly configure it thanks to a program that looks like a website.
  8. Updatability of WEB-firmware allows in each new version of the operating system of the Wi-Fi router to fix flaws, improving its operation, and it's good if these updates are made regularly.

Which router should you choose?

Top best Wi-fi routers for home

TP-Link Archer C7: the perfect choice in terms of price, reliability, quality

The router is recognized as the best home installation device by one of the most influential newspapers in the world - "The New York Times". The router can distribute Internet traffic around the house in two ranges (5 and 2.4 Hz). Six antennas are responsible for the transmission: three external and three internal, each of the types of antennas is responsible for the operation of the device in one of the ranges.

The case is made of black plastic, on the bottom panel there are holes for attaching the router to the wall. When tested in real household conditions, it was possible to squeeze data transmission within the home network at speeds up to 550 Mbps: this is more than enough for simultaneous viewing of high-quality UHD video on multiple PCs.

Advantages of the model:

  • Convenient rear interface panel;
  • Large coverage area;
  • Intuitive and clear web interface for programmatic configuration;
  • The ability to access from the outside using the "TP-Link Tether" program, to control the operation of the access point via a smartphone or tablet.

Disadvantages:

  • Lack of radiators and cooling elements, it can overheat in the heat.

Customer feedback on the Archer C7: “The router is good. A bunch of necessary settings and capabilities, enough for me with my head. Regarding 5 GHz: of course it’s good, but don’t pay attention to large antennas. The signal can sink much more than 2.4 GHz. ”

Netgear N750: stylish and functional

How to choose a router to buy?

All of these models have the main necessary quality that is important for any user - it is stable reception of Internet traffic from the provider and reliable data transmission over a wireless network. And yet it is up to you to decide which router is best for buying, based on your preferences and financial capabilities.

Hey! I decided to prepare a separate article and talk about choosing the cheapest router. Consider the most budgetary options that are on sale. I think this article will be relevant for at least the entire 2017. We will consider inexpensive models up to $ 15, UAH 400, or 1000 rubles. And despite the fact that in 2017 I advised not to buy routers without a USB port and support for the 802.11ac standard (Wi-Fi 5GHz), there are situations when there is no way to buy an expensive router, and you need to save as much as possible. And it is not uncommon for a router to be needed to distribute the Internet for a pair of devices, in a small room, and without a serious load. In this case, there is no point in overpaying for unnecessary functions and technologies. The most budgetary router will suffice.

In this article, we will not go into detail about all the technical characteristics, and the intricacies of the choice, I wrote about this in the article, the link to which was given above. Our task is to choose a router that will cost no more than $ 15 (+ -). I have already tested most of these routers, and they are now in my collection :). But, to be honest, I don't have much experience in long-term use of an inexpensive router. It's just that I have a lot of devices in my house, a heavy load, and it's not entirely correct to work through such a router.

In this price category, I found routers from manufacturers: TP-Link, Tenda, D-Link, Totolink, Netis. These are the most popular. ASUS, or Zyxel, does not have such budget models at all. There will already have to increase the budget for the purchase. If you look at popular online stores, then all these budget models are very popular among buyers, judging by the reviews. They collect the most reviews. And this does not mean that there are more problems and breakdowns with them, just because of their price they are more popular. And the reviews there are no worse than those for expensive models. Although, reviews of routers are generally a topic for a separate article.

Budget router for home

In the process of choosing and using an inexpensive router, there are nuances and possible problems. Although, all this is possible when using expensive models, which cannot always boast of stable performance and quality.

Let's highlight the following points:

  • Stability of the Wi-Fi network and the router as a whole.
  • Wi-Fi coverage and connection speed. We know routers love to cut internet speed. And even more so for budget models.
  • Limited functionality, lack of various functions and technologies. It is clear that buying a budget model, it will not be stuffed with the latest technologies.
  • The quality of the router itself, appearance, operating time.

Unstable operation of a cheap router

This is probably the most popular problem with cheap models. The fact is that budget devices are built on weak platforms. Weak processors, little RAM. All this can affect the stability of the router. Especially at moments of stress. When watching online videos, downloading files, torrents, in online games, when connecting a large number of devices. If you plan on doing everything I just listed, then you better consider the more expensive router models.

All this is manifested by a complete freeze of the router, when the Internet starts working only after a reboot, a strong drop in speed and ping, and interruptions in the Wi-Fi network connection. Therefore, if you have many devices, you plan to watch videos on several devices at the same time, or, even worse, play online games and download large files, you have a Smart TV, then I would not recommend buying the cheapest router model. It is better to choose another option for yourself according to the article.

Nobody can tell you whether this or that model will work stably. This is almost impossible, since everything depends on a huge number of different factors. And if everything worked cool on the most budget models, then why would they make routers that are 10 or more times more expensive.

Wi-Fi coverage radius and internet speed

Wi-Fi network coverage is one of the main issues that interests almost everyone in the process of choosing a router. According to my observations, in terms of Wi-Fi network coverage, budget models are not always worse than more expensive ones. As a rule, all these "kids" come with one or two Wi-Fi antennas, but these antennas are powerful. There may also be internal antennas. But the number of antennas affects the stability of the Wi-Fi network more than the coverage. I think that such a router should be enough for a small three-room apartment. But it's a stretch. Most likely there will be places where there will be no Wi-Fi network coverage.

But again, it all depends on the model you choose, on a huge number of external factors, and the location of the router in the house or apartment. Neither I nor anyone else will be able to tell you a specific model that will provide a signal throughout your home. There are only guesses and assumptions.

A few words about the speed of the Internet via Wi-Fi and cable. If your provider gives 100 Mbit / s, then you will most likely see about 90 Mbit / s through the cable from the router. Maybe all 100. Over Wi-Fi, of course, the situation will be different. We know routers cut Wi-Fi speeds. This is normal in principle. But how much this speed will be cut depends on many different factors:

  • The power of the router itself. And we already know that budget models are weak. Therefore, they can cut speed more than more expensive models.
  • From the type of internet connection. It is best when the ISP uses Dynamic IP (DHCP) technology. Since PPPoE, L2TP, PPTP create an additional load on the router.
  • Also, the speed largely depends on the device that you connect to the Internet.
  • And from a huge number of other external factors: from interference, walls, signal level, etc.

Almost all models that we will look at today operate at a maximum speed of up to 150 Mbps. But, there are several models from this price category that can deliver the maximum theoretically possible speed of 300 Mbps. This can also affect how much the router will cut the speed over Wi-Fi.

Modest specifications and functionality

It's clear. The less we pay, the less we get. As I wrote above, the budget model will be devoid of all modern technologies. For example, there will definitely not be support for the new 802.11ac standard. And of course, there will be no support for broadcasting a Wi-Fi network at a frequency of 5GHz. There will be no USB port, Gigabit LAN and WAN ports, and other chips. For this price point, that's okay.

As for the functionality and settings, even the cheap models have almost everything the same as the more expensive ones. For example, it is possible to launch a guest Wi-Fi network, there are different modes of operation of the router (repeater, adapter, client, access point), there are parental controls, and a bunch of different settings. So in terms of functionality, there are no strong differences. Everything, of course, depends on the specific manufacturer and model. The control panel itself, according to my observations, is no different. Only some settings can be cut out, which cannot be there due to the peculiarities of the hardware filling.

Quality, appearance, working time

If you are interested in such things as the build quality, the quality of the case itself, the appearance of the router, the presence of different buttons, sizes, etc., then inexpensive models lose a little here.

Most of these routers are made in a very compact package. And I agree that the more expensive options certainly look better and cooler. All manufacturers. But as for the quality of plastic and assembly, then according to my observations, there are no major differences. If a company makes model roads from good materials and assembles them with high quality, then the budget category does not suffer much here either. Everything is on the level.

Of course, the savings are noticeable. And most often it is manifested by non-removable antennas, the absence of separate buttons (to power off, activate WPS, turn off Wi-Fi, reset), lack of rubberized feet and wall mounting (but not on all models)... Well, sometimes manufacturers do not make 4 LAN ports, as we are used to seeing, but for example 3, 2, or even 1. But again, it is difficult to fit 4 LAN ports and 1 WAN into such a compact case. But there are exceptions.

I have not carried out any tests, and I cannot say how long the budget router will last, and how long the expensive model will be. But again, according to my observations, cheaper options break more often. Here, savings on components and power adapters also affect.

Models of inexpensive Wi-Fi routers for home or apartment

I really do not like to advise specific models. This is generally wrong. Therefore, it is better not to ask me in the comments about this 🙂

Below we take a look at the cheapest routers available in early 2017. I think these models will be relevant for a long time. Almost all the routers that I will write about below, I checked and configured. And they all fully correspond to their low price.

Netis WF2411 and other available models from Netis

I have a Netis WF2411 model. This is generally one of the cheapest routers. But I really liked it. Small, interesting and high-quality body, simple setup, Russian language in the control panel. Works well in repeater mode (Wi-Fi network booster)... Can be used as an adapter for connecting a PC to the Internet via Wi-Fi.

Instructions for configuring Netis WF2411:

Netis has other budget options: Netis WF2411E, Netis WF2411R, Netis WF2419, Netis WF2419E. The last two models will be slightly more expensive. But they are better in performance. There is already a maximum Wi-Fi speed of up to 300 Mbps. If possible, it is better to take them.

The most budgetary routers from TP-Link

At the moment, three models fall under our budget: (most affordable), and . Follow the links for a detailed overview of each model.

Many people have probably heard about TP-Link TL-WR740N. A very popular and truly popular model. A very popular router, primarily due to its price and technical characteristics.

TP-Link TL-WR740N setup instructions:. In the "TP-Link" section you will find instructions for setting up other models from this manufacturer.

If there is an opportunity to slightly increase the budget, I recommend considering the TP-LINK TL-WR841N (ND) model. Also a good and popular router.

Inexpensive home router options from Tenda

I now have a Tenda N301 model. And I also know Tenda N3 (but it is no longer visible on sale)... There is also Tenda N150, Tenda F3. I can safely recommend these inexpensive routers. Easy control panel in Russian. Everything is there and everything works.

Instructions for setting up Tenda N301:.

Several models from D-Link

Recently purchased the D-Link DIR-300A model. It fits our budget. A very interesting router with an unusual shape. Normal control panel. However, I do not really like the page with settings on all D-Links. There is also an inexpensive model D-link DIR-300S / A1A, D-Link DIR-615 / K.

You can familiarize yourself with the settings for the example of D-Link DIR-300A:

Budget routers Totolink

Recently I got acquainted with routers from the Totolink company. More precisely, with one, Totolink N150RT. From this price point, there is an even more expensive model Totolink N300RT. The latest model supports Wi-Fi speeds up to 300Mbps. This one is clear from the name.

Totolink N150RT is a good device. N300RT is definitely not worse. Everything is very easy to configure and works without problems. Interesting, small body. Which has all the necessary buttons and ports. There is a button to turn off the power. Which is rare on routers at this price point. And there the top cover slides coolly for additional cooling.

conclusions

If, when buying a router, the task is to save as much as possible, then you can purchase one of the cheapest models from one of the manufacturers. Everything will work, the only question is how. If you buy a budget router for a huge house, and plan to connect a large number of different devices to it, load the network in full, then this is of course stupid. The router will most likely just "hang" and go away after a reboot.

And if you, for example, have a small apartment, or a private house, several phones, a tablet, and a computer, you do not play heavy online games, and do not download torrents, then even an inexpensive router will cope with these tasks. As you can imagine, it is impossible to single out the number of devices or tasks that a budget router can no longer cope with.

You should always focus on the tasks that the router will perform. If, for example, you need to share a USB drive, then the routers discussed in this article will not work for you. Since there is no USB port. And you already need to look for the cheapest router with a USB port (if the budget is limited)... If you need an inexpensive one, then you need to start from the models that support work with USB modems, and look for the best option among them.

Try to get the model as expensive as possible based on your budget. It's just that you don't buy a router for a month or two. And it is necessary that it work stably for a long time, and that its power is with a margin. After a while, you may want to connect some more devices. But the router may not be able to cope with them, and you will have to buy a new model. And it turns out that they wanted to save money, but paid several times more.

We need the Internet as much as air, and from year to year the need for it increases manifold. Has the old one stopped responding to your tasks? So it's time to change it to a new one.

I present to your judgment another magnificent five horned guides through the vastness of the World Wide Web. The selection of the best routers for the home at the beginning of 2018 includes models with support for 802.11ac Wi-Fi and gigabit LAN ports.

Keenetik Giga - at the limit of possibilities

And the Keenetik internet centers from the second half of 2017 are no longer representatives of the Zuxel brand: recently it is an independent and independent brand. However, the first products, which include Keenetik Giga, were developed on the basis of an old, proven platform, but with certain improvements.

Keenetik Giga is a representative of the line of the upper price category, one of the most versatile models of routers today. It has almost everything that can only be in a device of this class, a reception at the highest level. Manufacturers have even equipped it with a fiber optic port. So investing in this device is a good foundation for the future, if this method of connecting to the Internet suddenly becomes widespread. All other needs of home users - lovers of comfortably playing and watching 4K movies on the big screen, are also laid down in Keenetik Giga.

Setting up and operating the machine is likely to remain as simple as its predecessors. Most likely, the function of automatic connection to providers' networks and distribution of Wi-Fi without user intervention - right out of the box, will also remain.
